I love AI, but it sounds nothing like me and that's one of the biggest problems that I have when I use AI tools for repurposing and distributing my content is I'll put something in that looks great sounds great. It is me. It's me on video, but then all of the content that comes off of it oddly sounds nothing like me. That's what I'm super excited to share today is actually how I use Gold Casts brand voice for my content. All right, awesome. So we are in gold cast right now and. What you'll see is there's a home and a brand kit and really what you want to do is start in the brand kit. And I've already set mine U with colors and fonts and background templates. And you can do this to fully customize what you're going to get out of each individual type of media. But the real thing we want to talk about is voice profile. And this is where it gets really cool is you can create different voice profiles for your content, as you can see here. And really all you have to do to create these is come in here and. Add a voice and tone, and you can add in your own brand guidelines, or you can add a example copy from a piece of blogs or something that you've created. Or you can create 1 manually. And so for instance, we'll just use example copy. And what I really liked about this is you can add up to 100, 000 characters, which is a ton of content. So if I just go in here and grab something real quick and then I just paste it right back in here. And this is just a giant article I wrote all around the Distribution First framework. And I click save and then I just click next. And this is going to analyze my voice and tone and bring a whole bunch of cool things in here. And So what you can see here is that actually giving you a full profile, not only with a voice and tone, which a lot of things you can pull, but also writing rules, which I love. And so you can see here from the content that I pulled for me, it's saying the the content that I wrote was conversational, informative, encouraging and authoritative, which great, that's exactly how I want it to sound. But if there was something else I wanted to put in here, I could put in, maybe I wanted to be. Motivational, I can put that in here too. Add that in and apply that voice. So you can see here, this is a blank little bit of copy. It's the same every single time. And where it's going to do is actually pull in your brand voice and tone and be able as you make these adjustments, you can apply the voice and see the changes affected in real time. And the cool thing about the writing rules is you can add as many or you can delete as many as you want. So if you come in here and say, oh, that I may have written that way, but that's not how. I want wanna sound. You can delete one or if you say like for me, um you know, write casually but not. Goofy, I can add that in there. And then you can actually apply this voice again and kind of see what changed about it. And, and you can ebb and flow with this as much as you want. So if there are certain things that you see in here that you want to change, this is the time to make those changes and be able to actually see those happen in in actions. And so that's all it really takes to turn and actually create your voice profile. The fun part is actually coming in here and trying to get this as tight and as neat as you want. But like I said, you can create different voice profiles. And then maybe what I've sort of done is picked up. View that work well for me and then I can test those as we go and I'll show you that in a second here O we just click next. We'll save this as a voice profile 3 and then when we go home, what you can do is actually inside of gold cast bring in your content into the content lab and actually start repurposing this content using the voice brand voice profile that you just created and so for this instance, let's go to this podcast episode that I recorded and you can see. Here I've already pulled one of these clips, but actually show you. So if you come in here, it's going to have clips, social media, blogs, emails, custom takeaways, all that sort of stuff in here. And then one of the features that I love about this and really from a repurposing of distributing side, it makes it really, really useful is I can instantly go over and create social content or other pieces of content from this. So if I click generate social post, now it's going to take this exact video, this small micro video that I created and actually create a social post off of it and do it inside of the brand voice that I chose. And so are you struggling to make your content marketing payoff? Here's the truth. Creating enough you need distribution strategy too you get a pretty Dang good post right off the bat based exactly on your voice and tone that you put in there so again with this tool, I would say it's the cake you still need to dress it up you still need to decorate it AI is going to get you 80% of the way there 70% of the way there and then it's on you to watch the clip to understand the content and create something that's valuable. You know a little bit of editing here in here might go a long way if I were to sit down and actually. Set this up to be able to post it out, but you can see really, really quickly how fast I was able to go from a full podcast directly into a clip and then have the clip save in directly in with the content. I've got it all housed here inside of this voice profile that I can use. And so from there I get to download this, I can copy and paste it and I can put it on LinkedIn in a matter of minutes and it makes it really, really fast. I have loved working with this tool and I think it's going to be a really, really big game changer if you have podcast. Webinars, anything just sitting on your archive. You should be in constant lab and being able to create this stuff because it makes it way faster to be able to represent, distribute your content and get it out back in front of your audience. Loved your note at the end about getting into your old, archived (cob-webbed 😆) content. So much time/ investment goes into a podcast (webinar, etc.), for it never to be seen again after airing once. You can make the most of it (give it new life, dust it off) with CL!
The last point you brought up around "archives" is so key. Most marketers are sitting on a ton of goldmine content in their archives - now they can quickly turn that into fresh content to engage their audience 💪

I tried text-to-speech plug in to fast repurp blog articles a while ago (granted, older tech), but yes -- robotic and lifeless sounding. Was a win for accessibility to a degree, but didn't achieve what I hypothesised for the experiment: higher engagement.

I think that was the biggest block - the voice sounding too robotic, which is why we never used. But this is a good try, thanks for the suggestion, Justin.
If AI can "replace you", your content needs help, but it's ok founders - I get it.
The AI can edit 12 videos in .5 seconds.
But when is the last time you recorded one?
Speed is not accuracy.
Accuracy is accuracy.
AI doesn't replace talent, it replaces skill.
— AI replaces the need for a 12-person editing team.
— AI replaces the need for advanced software.
— AI replaces the need for note-taking.
But the most successful podcasts in your niche use AI to help them. AI can create a podcast, I'm not delusional, but it's not widely adopted (or any good) yet.
For now, AI replaces tasks, not talent.
And when it does replace people.
You'll stand out that much more.

This is the podcast where I feed documentation to AI and have it create a podcast...and this episode had me dying laughing 🤣
In this episode, I fed the AI our Technical Content Development guide (77 Pages). Something must have changed in the underlying LLM model because this episode took an unexpected turn 😂. The information is technically correct but despite my best efforts, I couldn’t get my AI co-hosts to match the polish of Episode 1. The outcome was so hilarious that I had to share it anyway. They were all over the place, the random vocalizations had me laughing and they seem to want to take commercial breaks when there is none 😅 .
This experiment highlights an important challenge when using AI to create brand-aligned content. It feels like magic to quickly produce branded experiences—whether it’s art, video, games, or, as in this case, an AI-powered podcast—until things go awry. 😬
So, what do you do when an AI update suddenly shifts your style? It could mean temporarily, or even permanently, losing your ability to deliver on-brand content. For many deliverables, like video, audio, or complex graphics, there is no way to manually recreate the experience if you haven't been doing it manually all along. This presents a huge risk.
This episode serves as a reminder: AI is powerful but also unpredictable. If you rely on it, keep in mind—you’re a bit at the mercy of the machine.
