We were thrilled to support our partners, Three Ireland and Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone Campusin their 5G standalone demo day! 🌐 Since January 2024, we've been working together to explore how 5G SA can enable faster, real-time learning experiences across various fields. Some highlights from the day: 🔬 Sports Labs – In the indoor sports arena, students witnessed how 5G can track crucial data like speed and heart rate in real-time. The technology gives athletes and coaches important performance data instantly, so they can apply feedback in the moment. 🏃 Arena & Pitches – Cameras were setup on pitches and an indoor running track, streaming live footage for real-time game statistics and player analysis. A drone also captured aerial footage of the runners, with their stats and biomechanical analysis displayed, providing the athletes with detailed feedback to enhance training effectiveness. Together with Three Ireland, we are supporting TUS Athlone to bring cutting-edge technologies to students, transforming the possibilities for learning and training on campus. Another interesting take on the downside of ranking colleges and universities.
If you recall from a couple of previous posts, I am no fan of ranking colleges and universities. To me, it’s like comparing apples to oranges to Volkswagens.
