There are so many reasons to love Spark. I love all the discussions at Spark. I have been in the insurance industry for 28 years. I have been an account manager for many years. I started in personal lines and moved to commercial lines in 2005. In 2022, I moved into the role of operations manager while still being a commercial lines account manager. Moving into the operations role has been a learning curve. It has had its many challenges, including COVID-19, remote workers, learning the administration side of AMS, and Image Right, on top of the challenging market we are facing, to name just a few. But like anything else, I take the bull by the horns and tackle each obstacle. Thankfully, I am not alone. Attending Spark, I have made so many connections and made many friends. I have learned so much by sitting in on the discussion and being a part of it. Ask questions about what they find works for them and what they have tried that didn't work out, asking how something is down in the system. At every turn, you will find a wealth of knowledge. Being a part of Spark helps me become a better leader and role model for my employees. Spark is more than just a conference; it's a platform for us to address the real issues we face in our professional lives. The session topics are meticulously chosen to tackle the specific challenges of the insurance industry, making them not just relevant but also highly beneficial. The sessions are centered around these three areas: growth, talent, and effectiveness. Below are just a few. Burnout is real: Here's how to help combat it It's not all in the resume - skills-based hiring fills positions Managing performance Change management: Make a place at the table for the cheerleaders and the skeptics! Get that essential implementation back on track Become the coach your team needs now We're all in this together, navigating the same challenges in our roles. That's why I find Spark so valuable, and I'd love for you to join me from Nov. 3 to 5 in Cincinnati. Together, we can learn, grow, and overcome these challenges.

Do you ever think about the effort it takes to provide reliable power each time we flick a switch? Working in the power industry taught my father-in-law to appreciate the hard work that goes into it. I recently stumbled upon an article that sheds light on the importance of power reliability. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/g-NwgN_n
