Although often maligned, chatbots do offer more beyond efficiency. In this from BBC News, individuals have spoken about how AI chatbots have been transformative for individuals with neurodiverse conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD. One reason for the popularity of such tools is the lack of stigma in using tools as opposed to asking someone for help. Specific tools like Goblin Tools are designed to support this community. Cause to be mindful when designing recruitment campaigns, that using a broad channel approach to attraction and application can ensure easier access to roles for a diverse population. https://lnkd.in/eB4pVYas

AdeptExec is digging deep into the unique ways neurodivergent individuals navigate daily life. Through our discovery process and upcoming MVP launch, we've uncovered fascinating patterns in how ADHD and autism shape different approaches to tasks, time management, and life organization. Understanding these natural variations helps us create more empathetic and personalized support systems that work with - not against - diverse cognitive styles. ADHD: The Dynamic Multitasker 👾Thrives in high-energy environments 👾Excels at rapid task-switching and parallel processing 👾Strong in creative problem-solving under pressure 👾Challenges with sustained attention and routine tasks 👾Productivity peaks during "hyperfocus" states 👾Often struggles with time blindness and task initiation Autism: The Deep Dive Specialist 🤖Excels in structured, predictable environments 🤖Masters complex systems through pattern recognition 🤖Strong in sequential processing and detailed analysis 🤖Challenges with unexpected changes and transitions 🤖Productivity peaks in focused, uninterrupted periods 🤖Often struggles with task prioritization and context switching What has been most fascinating is how these different processing styles can complement each other. While ADHD minds excel at generating innovative solutions through non-linear thinking, autistic minds excel at refining and systematizing those ideas. This understanding drives our approach at AdeptExec, where we're developing AI-powered tools that adapt to these distinct cognitive styles. Instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all solution, we're creating systems that embrace and enhance these natural strengths while providing support for challenges. #Neurodiversity #ProductivityTech #ADHD #Autism #AI #FutureOfWork #InclusiveTech

💡 Before we all doomscroll thinking #AI is taking our jobs away, let's not forget that it does have its limits and the #humantouch will still be needed, especially from those across the full scale of #diversethinking. 🚀 "As we blaze ever faster toward a world inextricably entwined with the incorporation of artificial intelligence, these properties—lateral thinking, intuitive insight, inductive leaps of creativity, resistance to manipulation or social pressure—will become increasingly important because they represent pathways of thought capable of being complementary to those produced by AI systems, which are inescapably chained to linear progressions of reason." 📚 Excerpt from The Neurodiversity Edge: The Essential Guide to Embracing Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Other Neurological Differences for Any Organization by Maureen N. Have you ever thought about how ADHD brains and AI might actually be a match made in heaven? Okay...so, here's my thought. If you’ve got ADHD like me, you probably know the thrill of ideation. That dopamine rush when you’re brainstorming ideas, solving problems, or dreaming up creative solutions? It’s unmatched. But then comes the implementation phase, and suddenly… crickets. The dopamine high disappears, and the task feels like climbing a mountain with no shoes. This is where AI steps in like the ultimate co-pilot. It’s like having a partner who says, “Hey, you focus on the big ideas, and I’ll help you figure out the steps to bring them to life.” Whether it’s breaking down a complex project into bite-sized tasks, automating the boring parts, or even just keeping things organized—it’s a game-changer. For people with ADHD, who often struggle with the “follow-through,” AI tools can bridge the gap between thinking and doing. They help us ride that dopamine wave longer and see our ideas turn into reality without hitting the “implementation wall.” AI isn’t just a productivity tool—it’s a way to stay connected to our creative energy while making things happen. It’s not about replacing our brains; it’s about working in sync with how our brains are wired. Have you found AI helps your ADHD brain thrive? I’d love to hear your experiences! #ADHD #AI #Neurodivergence #Productivity #Innovation #CreativeThinking #TechForGood #MentalHealth

ADHD: A Unique Talent in the World of AI In the rapidly evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence (AI), we're seeing a remarkable shift in how we perceive and leverage diverse cognitive traits. ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is increasingly recognised not just as a challenge, but as a unique talent that can drive innovation and creativity. As someone who navigates the intersection of AI and cognitive diversity, I've witnessed firsthand how ADHD traits can be powerful assets. Here's why: 1. Hyperfocus and Deep Dive: Individuals with ADHD often experience periods of intense focus. In AI, this hyperfocus can translate into deep dives into complex problems, resulting in groundbreaking solutions. 2. Creativity and Out-of-the-Box Thinking: ADHD is linked with heightened creativity. In AI, where innovation is key, this ability to think differently and generate novel ideas is invaluable. 3. Adaptability and Agility: The fast-paced nature of the AI field demands quick adaptation. Those with ADHD are often highly adaptable, able to pivot and tackle new challenges with agility. 4. Risk-Taking and Innovation: ADHD individuals are known for their willingness to take risks. In AI, where pushing boundaries is essential, this trait fosters an environment of bold experimentation and pioneering advancements. Embracing cognitive diversity, including ADHD, isn't just about inclusivity—it's about recognising and harnessing unique strengths that can propel the AI industry forward. By creating environments that support and celebrate these differences, we open the door to unprecedented innovation and growth. Let's continue to break down stereotypes and see ADHD for what it truly is: a unique talent that has the power to transform the world of AI. #ADHD #AI #Innovation #CognitiveDiversity #Tech #ArtificialIntelligence #Creativity #

One of my highlights of the CPRS national conference was definitely the presentation on Empowering Neurodiversity in the workplace through AI by Peter Shankman As a mom to a young adult with ADHD, I found myself relating to so many of the stories Peter shared. A few key takeaways for me about empowering neurodiverse team members: give clear deadlines; ask what environment works for them; offer AI and other relevant tools for everyone to use to be inclusive; create and respect space for focussed work without interruptions (this includes allowing notifications to be turned off).
