2024 has been a year of multiple "𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝘀" for me.
Before you let your imaginations run wild; all relate to professional growth.
- My first podcast; as a guest. (Story for another day)
- My first webinar in feb (with zero sales pitch - that itself is a first for the webinar concept itself probably). Thanks to topmate.io
- My first collab LinkedIn Audio Live event with topmate.io; with some amazing speakers HAMMAD SIDDIQUI and Pratik Pandey; fabulously moderated by Nimisha Chanda.
The topic was something very close to my heart; "𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟵-𝟱"
𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, which started as a buzzword has evolved much more in the last half a decade.
It no longer stands as a luxury, but an imperative requirement for all, irrespective of your professional backgrounds.
We discussed:
1. Challenges/ Solutions around managing a personal branding with a full-time role
2. Personal Branding to strategize job-hunt for job-seekers or career advancement
3. Pillars for Personal Branding
4. Common myths and misconceptions around personal branding
5. How to identify the core to build the personal brand?
6. Differentiating facets of online and offline branding.
And, we had 309+ attendees throughout🥰
We shot overtime and yet had enthusiasm overflowing, for more questions. Maybe we curate a series of such events in future to address the ones, we couldn't cover.
Looking forward to hosting more sessions on behalf of topmate.io.
P.S. If you have any queries/ concerns or challenges around your personal branding; hit me up on https://lnkd.in/gDjgrV-K; and we can deep-dive into them and solve them together.
Until then, keep following #rimjhimrants because she adores the love you shower on her :)

Director @ KES International & ReEvention | Global Event Management & International Academic Conference & Publication
Note to all you #CEO#CompanyDirectors#Directors#COO#Leaders#Managers
Are you ever too important to be kind?
Last year I took myself off to the The Media Production & Technology Show because after taking time out to have my 2nd baby in 2021 and having to be off work away from the businesses for a lot longer than planned (due to illness and surgery for baby) I had lost my confidence and was doubting my own ability to rebuild the events business which was very busy even all over the pandemic and - just to highlight - this dip of confidence happens to a lot of mummies.....
(I not only wanted to check out the best PTZ cameras for our Hybrid Conferences and Events - which we ended up purchasing - thank you Canon EMEA) but I wanted to catch up with the Television Industry having started my career in this industry, familiarise myself with new contacts, sit through some panels and was looking towards some fall back production work should I need it.
My worry was all self doubt inspired and I met James Burstall who was on a panel at the show. James is CEO of Argonon and bestselling author of 'The Flexible Method: Prepare to Prosper in the Next Global Crisis' - what a guy!
Argonon is an independent global production group consisting of several world-class labels who produce over 160 productions every year!
James kindly passed me his details and we exchanged emails. My question was about the fact he spoke a lot about having a "patchwork career" - I explained about my thinking of venturing back into TV from working in Events for over 10 years and having 2 business(es) but I asked if this patchwork career was a positive or negative.... I asked if having the same skills across 2 industries was a good or bad thing and asked if working across Film, TV and Events was okay in his opinion of a "patchwork career?"
James was so supportive, he not only got back to me, he looked over my Film and TV career CV and my business website and my Event Management CV and helped me amalgamate the 2!
James gave me feedback on this and asked me to let him know where it took me! ❤️
Turns out... with the right networks, my approach of only growing the business (ReEvention) in an organic way based on reputation and testimonials alone coupled with some new found self belief and confidence and the ability to get back to work and back to my 2 businesses KES International and ReEvention, I didn't need my TV back up plan after all!
I am not sure what I was thinking. . . . but I guess I was hoping if I needed to use my "Patchwork Career" then I could. Events came in, new clients came to the fore, old clients came out the woodwork and everything for the business fell back into place and now we are busier than ever and branching out in new directions and growing and loving what we do more than ever before!
Thank you James Burstall - the busiest but kindest person, who made the time to help out a stressed mummy / business woman in my crossroads!....
You don't just book a speaker—you shape your event's success.
Avoid these 9 red flags to guarantee impact.
1. No audience research?
Big mistake.
Speakers must know your audience to connect.
2. Recycled talks fail to inspire.
Custom content is what leaves a mark.
3. Minimal engagement means lost attention.
Speakers should spark dialogue, not just talk.
4. Failing to customize?
That’s lazy.
Every event deserves a tailored approach.
5. No value beyond the stage?
Skip them.
Workshops and follow-ups deepen the impact.
6. Poor reviews raise red flags.
Great speakers have glowing testimonials.
7. Talking about themselves doesn’t serve you.
Your event isn’t about their ego.
8. Overpromising kills trust.
Delivering less than expected hurts everyone.
Your event deserves a speaker who delivers value, every time.
Book smarter.
Choose impact.

I saw a truly shocking post on LinkedIn recently.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
A HR Consultant was posting about her services.
And then quoted the price.
Nothing dramatic there you might think.
On the contrary.
When people see a price without fully understanding the value they'll get, all they see is a number.
And that number helps no-one.
All the reader thinks is... too expensive... or.... too cheap.
In the specific instance I saw, the offer was FAR too cheap.
In fact, I'd go so far as to say it was insultingly cheap.
But that's by the by.
People who choose things based on price or not the kind of person you want to work with.
They don't see the value you offer.
They don't see a relationship.
They see an offer to take advantage of.
They want a RESULT for as cheap as possible.
There's nothing wrong with this in theory.
But you don't want to be the one giving this offer.
You're an expert... you trained and studied to get to your position... it took years of hard work and sweat.
So don't sell yourself short.
Build assets to showcase your worth.
Market yourself so you get more leads and clients than you know what to do with it.
Position yourself as THE expert people are desperate to work with.
And ultimately... Get paid what you're worth.
Now, if any of this sounds difficult, then DM me and let's have a chat.
I might be able to help you, I might not.
But it's certainly worth exploring if you want that business you thought you were getting when you went self-employed, right?
So, DM me now and let's have a chat.

✅ Business & Life Strategist 🎤Keynote Speaker🎤Bestselling Author💥As Seen On Dr. Phil's show The Doctors, CNBC, CBS.. Join me on my 🛩 Jet Mastermind Retreats at Sandals Resorts 🛩
I will shortly meet with one of the top three largest employers in the world.
Their largest events include several of them annually each with 10,000 people in attendance.
That's huge.
As a professional speaker these are my dream gigs.
It often takes years to get to this level to be able to get the ear of a company this size, much less get them to hire you.
Next I'll share with you how I help coaches, authors and consultants do a year's salary in one event.
Imagine if you only offered a simple $30 book to the 10,000 people in attendance and only half of them bought it.
That's a $300,000 pay day for just one keynote speaking gig.
Not bad for doing something you love and impacting 10,000 amazing lives.
Talk about a feeling of being fulfilled and the impact that would make.
I believe in offering so much value to my Inner Circle Mastermind clients.
Here is what I do for them.
I created a web page where they are featured and placed in front of these big names.
If they are selected as a speaker, take a guess what we charge extra?
NOTHING!
Do you know what speaker bureaus charge for a service like this? It's 20 to 30%.
On top of that, we give them some of the biggest contact info for podcasts like Joe Rogan and all the podcasts I've been on.
You know what we charge extra for that?
You guessed it!
NOTHING!
There are people out there that charge up to $40,000 for this kind of service.
Oh, and we give them all of the top speaker bureau contacts in the world.
And you already know how much extra we charge for that, right!
I want to help my Inner Circle clients get to that next level faster.
If you're a speaker, coach, consultant or author I'd love for you to share what kind of advantage something like this would bring to your business.

FIXING THE DEI DAMAGE: WHAT SHOULD EMPLOYERS DO NOW? Will the corporate world lead us all out of the DEI muddle? And are DEI professionals part of the solution - or the problem?
In the third and final part of my conversation with Neil Morrison, Group HR Director at Severn Trent, we discuss these questions – and much more:
💡 How did we get to a place where the people in charge of ‘inclusion’ at work are silencing questions and dissent from colleagues who don't share their beliefs or political agenda?
💡 Why were so many Heads of #DEI hired for their charisma and big ideas, rather than their good judgement and business experience?
*Watch/listen on YouTube, Spotify or Apple Podcasts*
https://lnkd.in/eNA3QvRf
💡 How can #HR professionals with doubts about their organisation’s current DEI strategy, direction and #leadership raise concerns in a professional way that minimises blow-back against them personally?
💡 Is DEI even a 'real thing' - or is it (in Neil's words) a 'false concept', badging a bundle of employer practices aimed at improving productivity through inclusion? If it's not a real thing, how should DEI advocates defend it?
💡 What will it look like when employers start fixing the damage caused by bad DEI – both externally and internally? What will be quietly shelved (Stonewall?), what will be salvaged – and what ‘performative’ practices will businesses be happy to bin?
💡 Will the profit-driven corporate world lead on unpicking the bad practice done in the name of DEI - and will their good sense spread to universities, the Arts, schools, healthcare and the charity sector, which have different motivators for sorting this out?
💡 Why isn’t Neil more worried about DEI critics such as Matt Walsh, Piers Morgan, The Free Speech Union, UnHerd, The Spectator, Andrew Gold and the Triggernometry boys? (Hi all!👋)
💡 If the UK’s DEI industry is set to shrink dramatically, should DEI professionals (including staffers, external consultants, and poor-quality DEI trainers) start considering their career options?
Huge thanks again to Neil for stepping up to help me get these discussions going 🙌
