Hi #LinkedIn Fam 😄 In my previous post, I promised more updates. For those who prefer images over videos, this one’s for you! 😄 I've been working on a Customer Relationship Management dashboard that combines the best of both worlds: Analytics & Insights with an Amazing User Experience (UX). This project is crafted to provide an interactive journey for six team managers to assess their teams' quarterly performance. Key features I used were: ▪ A Dynamic Summary Box, to quickly view essential insights at a glance. ▪ Twin-View Options, offering the option to choose between a summarized or detailed analysis view. ▪ Enhanced KPI Cards, to display key performance indicators in with context to past. I aimed creating an experience to answer "How did the team perform?" and explore the "Why?" behind the results. I’d love to hear your thoughts: - What did you find great? - What could be improved? Feel free to interact with the Power BI project through this live link: https://lnkd.in/dE6gxP-w Have a great weekend fam 😄 #datavisualization #report #dashboard #visualization #microsoftpowerbi #pbicorevisuals #dataviz #dataanalysis #analytics #businessintelligence #businessanalysis

**Things to Keep in Mind While Designing a Dashboard:** Creating a dashboard is more than just putting together charts and fancy visuals. It’s about delivering insights in the clearest, most impactful way which is easy to comprehend by the end user. Here are a few things I’ve learned along the way that really help: 1. Know Your Audience: Understand who is using the dashboard. Is it for CEOs, Managers, Analysts, or Frontline staff? The complexity and level of detail should be tailored accordingly. 2. Keep It Simple: Simplicity is highly underrated. Don’t overwhelm users with too many visuals or metrics. Focus on what really matters, and ensure it’s easy to interpret. 3. Focus on UI / UX: Design with usability in mind. Interactive features, intuitive navigation, and a logical flow make dashboards more effective. Select the color palettes wisely and limit the number of colors used. 4. Choose the Right Visuals: Different data needs different visuals. Use pie charts, bar graphs, and KPIs strategically to highlight the most important insights. Use a particular visual only if it is relevant, not because you can. 5. Test & Iterate: A dashboard is never perfect the first time. Get feedback from fellow developers, users and make adjustments to enhance both usability and value. Use constructive criticism to your advantage. A dashboard for a developer is a storyboard for a business user, where data tells a story that shapes decisions and eventually drive success. #DataArtist #DataDriven #DashboardDesign #BusinessIntelligence #DataAnalytics #PowerBI #DecisionMaking #StorytellingWithData

Enhancing User Experience through Simple Data in Power BI I'm excited to share a recent project where I leveraged simple data to create a Power BI dashboard, focusing heavily on User Experience (UX). My goal was to design an intuitive, visually appealing, and highly functional dashboard. 🧮 DAX Code: I harnessed the power of DAX code to create complex measures and index calculations. This allowed me to present the data in a more meaningful way. Additionally, I implemented dynamic headers that change based on the selected filters, providing a personalised and contextual view of the data. 🎨 Colour Schemes: I carefully selected colour schemes to promote visual and analytics synergy within a dashboard. The right colours not only make the dashboard aesthetically pleasing but also help in distinguishing various data points effectively. 🖱️Buttons: Strategic use and placement of buttons was crucial. I positioned them where users naturally expect to find them, making navigation smooth and interaction with the dashboard seamless. 📊 Choice of Graphs: With the limited data I had, I carefully chose graphs and charts that best represent the data. By using the right type of visualisation, the information becomes easily digestible, enabling users to gain insights quickly. This project was a great learning experience in balancing functionality and aesthetics. I'm proud of the outcome and look forward to applying these UX principles in future projects. #PowerBI #DataVisualisation #UserExperience #DAX #DataAnalytics #DashboardDesign #UXDesign
