I can't stress this enough: You are not alone. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, but this is something that I, along with our partner organizations, advocate for all year round. We must continue to destigmatize the conversation surrounding mental health. The stats speak for themselves, millions of people in this country alone struggle yet so many feel like they're the only ones. This couldn't be further from the truth. Take a look at the stats and resources below. We're in this together, always. 💚 #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealthMatters

QLD Mental Health Week 5 -13 October This week marks mental health week just because you can’t see an illness doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Mental health challenges affect many people in different ways. Amongst other things the rising cost of living can be contributing factor. Sometimes, all it takes from someone is a simple gesture—a coffee, a kind word, just being there to listen or pay it forward. These small acts can make a world of difference in helping someone navigate their way to better mental well-being. Let's remember to check in on those around us and offer our support, because we never know who might be struggling. #MentalHealthMatters #SupportEachOther

World Mental Health Day is such an important event as it encourages all to come together to talk about their own mental health and why it matters. This year focuses on mental health in the workplace, and although talking about mental health at work has become more common, many still face stigma when discussing severe mental health problems. There is still so much we can do to support each other's mental health at work, from having open conversations about our mental health to providing staff with training on mental health first aid. Starting conversations about our mental wellbeing can be difficult, but it is important. If you're struggling, but don't want to approach friends or family, there are some amazing organisations available to offer support. Don't suffer in silence.
World Mental Health Day is celebrated annually on October 10th, encouraging all to come together to talk about mental health and show that mental health matters. If you are struggling with your own mental health, please try to talk to someone. We know that is not always easy, but it is so important to not go through this alone. If you do not have friends or family you can confide in, there are brilliant agencies who understand and are there to help. #WeAreSophie

Shaped by personal experiences, challenges, and triumphs, your mental health journey is unlike anyone else's. Unfortunately, stigma discourages many people from talking openly about their mental health, and now more than ever those struggling in silence need to hear they're not alone. By sharing our stories, we can help them not feel so alone and empower them to seek help. Leading the way is Sentari Minor, VP of Strategy and Chief of Staff.
