Phone numbers are not infinite, and because of this, telecom service providers are having issues finding new numbers to issue to their customers. Do you feel that Swedish fixed broadband became more expensive? According to annual figures from Swedish Post and Telecom Authority, the ARPU increased 4% from 2022 to 2023. As shown, Telia Sweden has increased its ARPU a longer time than Tele2 Sweden and Telenor Sweden - but the latter two are more aggressive on pricing at the moment: Tele2 +8% y-o-y to Q3 2024 and Telenor +7% y-o-y to Q2 2024. Telia and Telenor have yet to report Q3 2024. While prices have increased, a larger share of broadband base is today on fibre and support higher speeds.
