5 Signs You Should Introduce VR Training Into Your Company Do you feel that your company's training programme needs some change, something new, something exciting, but you're not quite sure what it should consist of? Here are five signs it might be time to consider Virtual Reality (VR) training: 1. High Employee Turnover: Struggling to keep employees engaged during onboarding? VR can make training more immersive and enjoyable, leading to better retention and faster ramp-up times. 2. Safety Concerns: If your workplace involves high-risk tasks, VR training offers a safe environment for employees to practice and perfect their skills without any real-world danger. 3. Complex Processes: When your operations involve intricate procedures, VR can simplify training by allowing employees to learn through hands-on virtual simulations. 4. Remote Workforce: With more teams working remotely, VR training can bring everyone together in a virtual space, ensuring consistent learning experiences no matter where they are. 5. Your Training Sessions Are Starting to Resemble a Scene from Groundhog Day: If your employees can predict every word of your training sessions because they’ve heard it all a dozen times before, it might be time to switch things up. VR training offers fresh, engaging experiences that break the monotony—no one will be falling asleep at their desks anymore! Remember: Training in VR is not just a technical novelty, a gadget, it is a tangible benefit. #VR #vrtraining

VR Sketching - Leadership (Team communication, collaboration and work) facilitated via XR Technology On NOV 15, 2024, a VR Sketching event hosted by V&R Learning on the topic“Leadership (Team communication, collaboration and work) facilitated via VR Technology”was successfully held at Tinghua wine experience store, Soho The Bund, Huangpu District, Shanghai. It attracted the participation of many senior human resources practitioners and leaders from different industrial top enterprises. During this event, we managed to provide the best taste and visual experience for participants. This event was an innovative, enlightening, and dynamic forum centered on the pivotal theme of leadership. With the support of VR equipment, the event focused on the key point of team communication, collaboration and work, which led each participant to a pure 3D technology world. In the event, with the support of the world's most cutting-edge virtual reality technology, the first Chinese academic facilitator Arthur led the participants to complete the practical exercises of the VR Sketching demo version. The instant feedback from the participants was quite amazing and received continuous praise. The second Chinese technical facilitator Joe led the participants to explore the world of global three-dimensional (3D) immersive learning and showed the world's most advanced technology, product content and best implementation case that can be used in the field of corporate talent learning and development. The participants responded enthusiastically and asked high-quality questions one after another to seek experts' answers. The third American academic speaker Joshua remotely connected to this market event through ZOOM at 1 am local time in the United States, and used his own more than 30 years of corporate coaching services as the best case to deeply analyze and share how XR technology assists and improves the efficiency and results of corporate coaching service, which was full of pracitical and valuable information. Enterprise companies are starting to recognize the significant cost-saving potential of VR training while increasing quality and preparedness. In recent conversations with Colin Peacock & Joseph Van Harken they shared some compelling insights on this topic, which I am happy to echo. Here’s the reality: Traditional training methods, especially in high-risk industries like pharmaceuticals and retail, can be incredibly costly. Consider these examples: Pharmaceuticals - Aseptic Gowning Training: — Each gown used in training costs $50. — In-person training involves significant overhead, including expert trainers and physical resources. — Questionable standardization with a large pool of trainers. Retail - Self-Checkout Machines: — Each training session requires taking machines out of customer use, leading to operational costs. — With high staff turnover, it's like pouring water in a leaky bucket. — Significant time and resources are needed for in-person training, impacting productivity and efficiency. Some store training sessions are reported to cost €20K. But with VR training, these costs can be dramatically reduced: 1. VR training removes the need for physical gowns and self-checkout machines, saving costs on consumables and equipment. 2. Training can be scaled across multiple locations without requiring physical presence, making it more efficient and accessible. 3. Less reliance on expert trainers and physical resources cuts down overall costs. Especially in situations with high employee turnover. 4. Training can occur without disrupting normal operations, maintaining productivity and customer service levels. Using VR for training allows companies to create realistic, immersive environments where employees can practice without the associated material costs. This approach not only saves money but also enables training to be conducted without interrupting production or operations. The realization of these financial benefits often comes after addressing the primary problems and pain points. However, business owners should try to foresee these cost savings even before addressing the primary problems, seeing the potential value VR can bring from the outset. Ask yourself: — What are the hard costs or operational costs associated with your current training methods? — How much could you save by integrating VR training into your processes? — Are you ready to make the shift and take on the change required for more efficient, scalable training? P.S. Implementing VR training is about enhancing the quality and consistency of your training programs, not just about cutting costs. #buildingresilience #immersivelearning #learningbydoing #vr #saasplatform

If you provide leadership training at a large organization, your soft skills training methods are about to be disrupted. According to a recent Wall Street Journal article, virtual reality (VR) is coming to a corporate training program near you. “More employees are strapping on virtual reality headsets as the immersive technology becomes an increasingly common method for workforce training on a range of topics, from hardware maintenance to leadership and empathy,” the article says. This shift marks a turning point for soft skills training programs. VR has been around for a long time, but companies are now embracing it for training because of two key factors: lower costs and a safer environment for learners to make mistakes. Learners can practice leadership, empathy, and other soft skills in virtual scenarios without the fear of judgment from their peers. ** 2 Steps to Stay Ahead of Changes in Soft Skills Training ** So, how can executive trainers ensure they stay ahead in this evolving landscape of soft skills training? Here are two critical steps: 1. Ask your clients the right questions. Many clients may not ask you about VR for soft skills training because they assume it’s outside your expertise. Share insights from articles like the Wall Street Journal piece and ask whether they’ve considered VR as a way to enhance their training programs. These conversations can position you as an innovator in soft skills development. 2. Look for strategic partners. If your clients lack the internal resources to implement VR-based soft skills training, are they open to working with external partners? If they’ve already started exploring VR, assess whether their technology providers also offer expertise in soft skills content creation. This knowledge will help you determine if they are interested in your package deal or the VR provider and their subject matter experts. Don’t let this VR shift take you by surprise. While technology may reshape traditional soft skills training, it also presents an opportunity for trainers to showcase their value in this new era of immersive learning.
