🌟 Leadership in Action: Sylvain Trepanier, DNP, RN, CENP, FAONL, FAAN 🌟 I had the privilege of speaking with Dr. Sylvain Trepanier, DNP, RN, CENP, FAONL, FAAN, System Chief Nursing Officer at Providence, wherein he delved deep into the evolving role of nursing leadership. Dr. Trepanier, a trailblazer in healthcare, has been instrumental in piloting virtual nursing at Providence—an initiative that has not only improved patient outcomes but also provided much-needed support to our dedicated nurses. But what truly resonated with me was his emphasis on work-life balance. As leaders, we often find ourselves caught up in the relentless demands of our roles, but Dr. Trepanier's approach is refreshingly different. He shared that when he’s on vacation, he removes his work email. This simple yet powerful act sends a clear message: trust in your team, and lead by example by taking the time to recharge. It’s a practice that I find incredibly inspiring, especially as the CNO of NPHub. Leadership isn’t just about driving results; it’s about creating a culture where your team feels empowered and supported.
