Harnessing the Power of Practice and Self-Belief in Youth Sports In the world of youth sports, the journey to success is often paved with a mix of achievements and setbacks. For young athletes, it's easy to get caught up in the mistakes they make, sometimes overshadowing the progress they’re achieving. However, the wisdom behind the saying, "With practice, the good things you do will outweigh the mistakes," is a valuable lesson that can have a profound impact on a child's development, both on and off the field Practice builds the foundation for skill improvement, while self-belief empowers young athletes to overcome challenges. Encouragement from coaches and parents strengthens these qualities, fostering confidence and resilience in youth sports #YouthSports #PracticeMakesPerfect #SelfBelief #PositiveMindset #RisingStarsDL #YouthAthleteDevelopment #SportsMotivation #CoachingTips #BuildingConfidence #OvercomingChallenges

Really great interview by News 9 talking to Kendra Morgan, CEO of Building All Children. She talks about the importance that youth sports play on a child's development and the characteristics that are learned such as, "things like teamwork, courage, work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions from a coach." “They have to learn both because you're not going to always win and you're not always going to lose. So you have to learn those skills, and sports teaches that.” Check out the piece below! #youthsports #coaching #sports #teaching #rolemodels https://lnkd.in/gGtfMyxR

Boosting Academic Success Through Team Sports 🏀⚽ Did you know that kids who participate in team sports tend to achieve higher grades in school? Research shows that these students demonstrate higher levels of attention and working memory, fewer missed school days and increased likelihood of graduating High School. 📚💡 Given the decline in sport participation during adolescence, these findings highlight the need to develop or modify policies to establish an environment that fosters and promotes sport participation, which in turn could improve academic outcomes. 🌟 #YouthSports #AcademicSuccess #Education #TeamSports

Every child is born with a flair for one or more sports. . I remember when I was much younger, I usually love to run, and later in my junior class(JSS 2), I started representing my school, which was all girls' school in running. . I left the school to another after my Junior QAEC, and I discovered I picked interest in basketball. . I would play with my brothers at home since we had a court, but I never thought of the need to represent my school. . I was focused on studying, but I never missed watching other students play and I truly wished I kept on with a particular sports because seeing others win medals, bring home championship cups and trophies, and still saw how well they did in their academics, some where top of their classes, made more sense to me. . Sports stimulate the child's brain in ways you may not have imagined. . Sports is education disguised as play. . Parents should understand that allowing your child to get involved in sports brings a balance between play and academics. . Some children may become professionals in sports, not in academics. . It starts now!! -------- As we celebrate "International Day of Sport for Development and Peace," today, April 6, be reminded to engage your child in more than one sport so you can discover the particular one they love and are better in. #childatheartconsultbygifty #childcare #education #consulting
