Houseparents as Caregivers ~ Christ's Haven Guiding Principles When a child lives at Christ's Haven, they are cared for by a married couple that we call Houseparents. This is a critical component of our Family Model of Care for displaced youth. Houseparents care for anywhere from 5-8 kids in their house. They help kids with homework, drop them off at team practices, prepare meals, and provide the parental support and connection that is so important as children develop. #FamilyModel #CHGuidingPrinciples #NormalcyDignityHope

But it makes them build the confidence that they know it’s okay. #LetGrow is here to provide parents with resources to help foster confidence and independence in our nation's children. https://ow.ly/yej250R0Kxa #ChildDevelopment #ChildIndependence
