There is this sense of need-to-know in the dieting world that calorie counting is the Holy Grail. It can be a powerful tool when taking your intake to the next level. Or when you are a professional athlete, eager to keep one’s physique peaking. Or when you are just curious how many calories a meal or snack has. Our body does not know what a calorie is. It stores or burns the chemical receivables according to its own criteria. In addition, the calories on a food package may not always tell you the right numbers. And one of the most important matters is that not every calorie is shaped the same. As a novice on the weight loss path, you will not be asked to count your calories. Losing weight is simple. Consistently eat less calories than your body uses and you'll lose weight. Guaranteed. However, no one said simple is easy 🤷♀️ It's not so easy to be consistent or to stay motivated. It's not easy to get out of bed at 4 am to exercise. It's not easy to be HUNGRY and not eat that muffin 🙈 But then, neither is it easy to be over weight, unhealthy, unhappy, tired and miserable. Either way, some things are hard 😥 Choose your HARD. Which hard brings the most rewards - eating that cheesecake or eating the salad ... lying in bed until 8 am or getting up an hour earlier to exercise? The choice is yours.
