Kenya Flying Labs’ Post

Great to see the collaborative efforts driving Kenya’s drone industry forward! The diversity of participants and focus on tailored regulations are critical to fostering innovation. Looking forward to seeing how these insights shape the future of UAS in Kenya! Many thanks to Kenya Civil Aviation Authority for their support and allowing us to do this. To WeRobotics and #DeloitteD2international keep up the good work, lots of lessons from the first regulatory co-creation project done by Flying Labs Namibia too, thanks for setting the pace!

We hosted Kenya's first co-creation workshops on drone regulations. From July 29-31, 2024, WeRobotics, Kenya Flying Labs, and #DeloitteD2international joined forces to host Kenya's first co-creation workshops on drone regulations. This workshop brought together Kenyan drone/RPAS users from across a wide variety of backgrounds.—from STEM educators and drone pilots to regulators and policymakers. Over three days, we explored how drones are used in Kenya today, anticipated future use cases, and tackled the challenges hindering growth in this industry. 💡 Key Reflections from our Co-Creation Workshops in Kenya: 🔸 Diversity is our strength: Bringing together voices from across the ecosystem creates more robust, unified recommendations for regulators. 🔸Collaboration fuels progress: Only through partnership and dialogue can we solve the most pressing challenges. 🔸Tailoring to local needs: Regulations must reflect the specific context of Kenya’s drone usage, not a one-size-fits-all approach. 🔸When we raise awareness we lower barriers: As we raise public awareness of drone applications, we lower barriers to broader adoption and innovation. 👉 Click the link to read more insights from these workshops and learn how co-creation can drive lasting impact: https://lnkd.in/d3qmZVKY #DroneRegulations #DeloitteD2i #CAA

Congratulations to Kenya Flying Labs! As the first Flying Labs to have undertaken this project, Flying Labs Namibia is amazed to see how it has evolved and is now on its way to making an even greater impact in other countries. This is a fantastic example of Flying Labs collaborating for the greater good—this time in advancing drone regulations. Kenya Flying Labs, this is fantastic work!
