Want to know which companies offer paid internship and which do not? Here is a free database by the interns and for the interns. Not only stipend, it also covers, which companies offer meaningful internships. And also prior experience. Hopefully, this will turn out to be very helpful if there are enough and accurate data. And this has to be continuously updated. So, if you are an intern or have completed your internship recently, please contribute to this by filling up the survey form (link in the comments). Everything is anonymous, so don't be afraid. Please mention the name of the company because only then it's going to be helpful. And if you are looking for interns, do refer to this database to see which companies you would like to intern with. (link to the database in the comments too.) Plus I urge you all to take ownership of this and spread the words so that we can build a large database of how internships work in Nepal. Finding an internship or job without prior experience can be challenging. Despite actively searching for a summer internship and emailing 20 to 30 organizations offering positions, as well as communicating with HR departments, I haven't received any responses. It seems that having a source or reference is crucial in private industries, companies, and NGOs. A significant reason for this difficulty is that some universities in Pakistan do not engage sufficiently with industry owners, business leaders, organizations, and private companies. This lack of interaction limits opportunities for students to gain practical experience and build professional networks, which are essential for securing internships and jobs. Without these connections, it becomes harder to break into the professional world, even for students who are proactive in their search. Strengthening the relationship between academia and industry is vital to bridge this gap and provide students with the opportunities they need to succeed.
