Have you noticed that no matter the organization you work with, corporation, community group, or Church there are silos? Silos of interest, silos of knowledge, and silos of participation. Another word we might use is cliques. The problem with silos, for anyone who might know, is if an agricultural product sits in a silo for too long, it loses its value. It rots, it putrefies, and it might even damage the other products that it is in contact with. Especially in the Church, ministries, offices, staffs, and even from community to community, we have to work together. Get out of our vacuum chambers and make a difference together. Because let's face it, the world's problems don't look to be fixing themselves. #Showerthought #agriculture #faith #community Out of fairness, if you are in need of a silo, the one's pictured can be found here:

Why do I create pop-up farm-to-fork systems in my county? Because they are necessary to LIVE-WORK-FARM. Read on to learn more about the #sustainable components of a vital agroecosystem Alameda County #agriculture is undergoing a slow death. Despite-to 14,000 acres of intensive agriculture land in North #Livermore, the only new projects built in the last 25 years have been two estate homes. In the remaining 200,000 acres of open space of the county, there is continued stagnation of agriculture, tediously slow expansion of rural recreation, and no compensation for the #EcosystemServices provided by small farmers. New systems are necessary: - The community and organizations must support places for farmworkers and land stewards to LIVE. - Agricultural infrastructure, land stewardship, recreation, #agritourism cannot be ignored; they are necessary WORK and services of the #agroeconomy and multi-functional #agriculture. - Finally, the FARM is the hub that supports all of this. Agriculture and agriculture must be enhanced, "saving" agriculture is not enough. LIVE-WORK-FARM is a package, a system, a necessity to allow a region to to join urban and rural land uses to create regional benefits. Thanks to Amos White, Sara Lamnin (she/her), Rob Bennaton, Taiyo Scanlon-Kimura, ALAMEDA COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFFS ACTIVITIES LEAGUE, Larissa Estes, DrPH and others who helped articulate this strategy.

God has done me well Today 🙏 . A vague idea that has been in my mind for sometime now is yet to come to light. The iCow soil advocacy course opened my mind into some small possibilities. There can be a great link between agriculture and blue economy. Can you guess what it might be? #mondayblessings #sustainablefarming #elevateblueinnovationchallenge
