P225/60/R16 Tyre Specifications : P = identifies, your tire as a Passenger Tyre. The P stands for PMetric. If your tyre Size starts with LT rather than a P then it identifies the Tyre as a Light Truck Tyre. 225 = identifies the Tyre section width, which is the measurement of the Tyre from side to side in millimeters. ( mm ) This measurement varies depending on the rim to which is fitted. 60 = is the two figured aspect ratio. This Percentage compares the tyre section height with the tyre section width. For Example, this aspect ratio of 60 means that the tyre section height is 60% of the Tyre section width. R = indicates the construction used within the tyre casing. R stands for Radical Construction. B stands for belted bias D stands for Diagonal Bias 16 = means the last dimensions listed in the size of the Wheel Rim which is most often measured in inches.
