Exciting insights from the 2023 German Startup Monitor by Deutsche Startup Verband! 🌟 Here is our takeaway for sciencepreneurs, and we can say, the numbers are quite promising for the future 🛸 1️⃣ Digital business models are thriving! A whopping 33.4% of startups are into Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Online platforms and software development aren't far behind. If you're a sciencepreneur, the tech sector is where the action is. 💻 2️⃣ Academic excellence is key! A striking 84.5% of startup founders have degrees, with nearly two-thirds boasting a Master's or higher. STEM fields (MINT) and business studies lead the way. Your academic background is your superpower in the startup world! 🎓 3️⃣ Universities are the heart of innovation. Almost half (49.2%) of startups received support from their alma maters, and 90.6% rate this support positively. Leverage your university's resources and networks—they are goldmines for budding entrepreneurs. 🌍 4️⃣ Tech development is a major player, with 21.6% of startups focusing on technology and production. If you're into tech, dive deep—there's a vibrant ecosystem waiting for you. 🔧 5️⃣ The startup ecosystem is highly collaborative.
