Do good work and the business follows. Today, we signed another client (we’ve been on a roll the last few weeks!), so I spent a moment today reflecting on the most recent three: For one fintech, this will be my fourth time working with them over the last 20 years. The other two were direct referrals – the client of an existing, long-standing client, and the partner of a two-time client contact. Here’s what this new business has in common: simply put, we do exceptional work. What exactly is good work? Here's a few examples. 👉 If we combined our clients’ coverage, we place more articles than any other PR firm in fintech and finserv. And I’m not including press release pick-ups - that's too easy. And content drives leads! 👉 Social media engagement rates for many of our clients are as high as 400% above their competitors. In a time when so many deals come through social media, this is key. 👉 Share of Voice is substantial and has been achievable through campaigns that cost a fraction of their competitors’ PR and Marketing investments. 👉 Our clients are growing. We can't take credit for all of that, but we are proudly part of some killer teams. The point - spend more time doing good work and less time chasing down business. Growth is easier that way. Your sales team will close more and lead gen is much more streamlined. And to do good work, you have to prioritize building an incredible team, from top to bottom.
