The declaration was meant to activate a cascade of resource mobilization and actions across affected countries. Regarding the so-called Africa CDC pandemic fund, do we know the level of funding, fund utilization priorities, and its impact on alleviating disasters and mitigating disease outbreaks? Or is it a case of knee-jerk actions and fireworks? It is time Africa citizens hold accountable to these agencies. They get financing from African taxpayers! 

About 27/4/24 Health awareness outreach was conducted in Portharcourt, Rivers State where the community people and the market men and women were sensitised on Lassa fever and it's preventive measures in order to combat the present re-emerging outbreak of Lassa fever in the country. The re-emerging outbreak of Lassa fever in Nigeria keeps rising with cumulative of 4,726 cases since the first week of this year and death cases recorded @IFRC. According to @NCDC, Rivers state has recorded 58 suspected cases, 5 confirmed cases and 3 death cases as at week 15 since the re-emergence this year 2024 which prompted us to reinforce the community by health educating them on the need to strengthen the preventive measures including the demonstration of proper hand washing and for prompt identification and treatment if any case is suspected to be reported to the hospital. What are the key responsibilities of each of these sectors, though, to the success of the #NACPOfUganda? Ministry of Health - Uganda : 1. Has to ensure that health services respond to those affected. 2. Provide education, communication, training and public awareness about the dangers of alcohol use. 3. Conduct surveillance, monitoring and evaluation as well as research on alcohol use. 4. Reduce public health impact of illicit and informally produced alcohol. 5. Coordinate alcohol control strategies with those who work in other relevant sectors including cooperation between different levels of governments and with other relevant health-sector agencies. 6. The team at Purelife are playing a vital role by leveraging technology to track and ensure the authenticity of medications, and by conducting health education initiatives to empower our communities. Thankful for a successful Diaper Distribution and Hygiene Outreach at Mpape Abuja. (Watch Full outreach Video on YouTube) This programs matter to me because, excreting waste and menstruation are basic, natural processes that every person experiences. So, proper management of these processes is essential for health and dignity. However, many families face financial barriers that make it difficult to afford diapers and menstrual products. This can lead to health risks and social stigma. Hence, by providing these essentials for free, we intend to: Promote Health: Clean diapers and menstrual products help prevent infections and other health complications. Support Families: Alleviating the financial burden of purchasing these products allows families to allocate resources to other critical needs. Foster Dignity: Ensuring access to hygiene products helps individuals maintain their dignity and confidence.

We had a swell time welcoming the IHVN HQ Abuja and IHVN Nasarawa teams today, at Diadem Consults Initiative LTD/GTE Nasarawa, for their Technical Assistance & Monitoring Site Visit. We had to re-learn the NCDs screening procedures, which included checking vital signs and blood sugar levels. In order to make decisions and enhance the general health of the key populations and their sexual partners, we also discussed the best practices for the on-the-go NMRS documentation and timely reporting of NCDs. Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) account for 41 million annual fatalities worldwide, or 74% of all deaths, with 77% of these deaths occurring in low- and middle-income nations. This is an initiative of the Nigeria Health Commissioners Forum (NHCF) chaired by Oyebanji Filani , HC Ekiti State Ministry of Health and Human Services and supported by the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF).
