As a busy working mom, it’s hard to switch gears on a schedule, from being a mom, to leading a team, back to being a mom. Our brains don’t stop thinking about that project, or about our kids’ upcoming doctor’s appt. It can be hard to be fully present in the moment, whether at work or at home. While I am a big believer in giving yourself transition time to make the adjustment in your roles, I find that for most people, their lives are more intertwined and in order to be more present, often x, y, and z need to happen to set them up for success. And that x,y, and z are different for each parent. Sometimes it’s putting their phone on silent and not bringing it to the dinner table. For others, it’s about setting their kids up for success during the day, so they aren’t as worried. For some it’s creating a work schedule that works better for them. At the end of the day, we don’t want to let anyone down- our work, our families. Often this means putting ourselves last - which makes it even harder to take care of others. So how can we get out of this cycle? My program, End the Juggle can help. It’s for ambitious women with kids looking to create intention in their life, move work and life goals forward and end the mom guilt. If you are ready to make a change in your life to be more present, let’s talk. Leave a ⚖️ below and I’ll follow up with more information. #goals #overwhelmedmum #workingmothersunite #returningtoworkafterkids #corporatemomlife #corporatemomma #corporatewomen #hardworkingmom #lifecoachformotms #matleave #momswhowork #wfhmom #workingmomma #workingmommies #workingmommylife #workingmothers #coachingformoms #careercoach #maternityleave #plancreatively #transformation #energy #lessstress #backtowork #coach #newborn #newmom #rtw #workmomlifebalance

So frustrated with the working mom rhetoric on this platform. As a fellow working mom, I've earned the right to this perspective. I too share the desire for a meaningful career while doing the important work of raising children - it's challenging and it's worth it. Hard Truths: 📢 Companies exist primarily to serve customers and make a profit 📢 "Society" didn't promise us work-life balance 📢 The "exhaustion" narrative is a road to nowhere Good News: ➕ You own your power ➕ You own your growth ➕ You own your success 🛑 Ignore the loud voices that say it's impossible 🛑 Stop languishing in the hard 🛑 Quit surrounding yourself with people who don't take action ⏩ YOU control your career ⏩ YOU control how you show up at home ⏩ YOU control your choices You're doing the greatest work imaginable - raising great humans. You get to choose how that works for you. Don't put that on anyone else and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Most of the social media narrative for working moms is controlled by the classic marketing pitch - the PROBLEM. Be different, be in ACTION, it starts with you. What's one step forward for you, your family or the support structures you need? #mommastermind #workingmom #workingmoms #workingmother #workingmothers #momswhowork #empoweringwomen #helpherstay

If this week has had you rushing around, ideas of M&S valentine meal deals, finding that card or gesture and trying to find time with your partner whilst juggling half term yet you're left thinking where's 'our' time gone, you're not alone. Raising a family is a full on immersive experience and many parents struggle with 'us time'. Becoming a mum means our bodies change, lots of new things can take over and before we know it we feel like we're losing our relationships or aren't sure what to do and then daily life takes over again. We can often lose confidence in ourselves and if there's no time for us either, how are we supposed to feel our best? This is a common topic that comes up in coaching for many women wanting to get some balance back and figure out how to get their relationship back on track or where they'd like it to be in the future whilst juggling it all. If you'd like some help with this too then why not contact us for a chat? #workingmums #workingparents

𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭: 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬. As working mothers, we juggle an endless list of responsibilities, and deep down, we understand that setting limits is essential for our well-being. So why do we struggle to actually do it? 🔸 𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞. Many of us are driven and ambitious, so saying “no” can feel like we’re holding ourselves back. 🔸 𝐖𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞. Whether it’s a colleague, boss, partner, or our kids, saying “not right now” feels like we’re letting someone down. 🔸 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩. Being capable and reliable is part of our identity, and setting boundaries can feel like we’re failing. But here’s the paradox: without boundaries, we overcommit, and the quality of our work—and our emotional well-being—suffers. So what do you do? It is always a joy and pleasure when I have the opportunity to collaborate, work, and think with the team Liftery about a better path forward! When writing posts, I like to think in 3s and offer practical suggestions and the option for a framework.....this piece on setting boundaries does exactly that! Three steps and a number of examples pulled from stories shared through my work Insight Onsite I am curious........ What language do you use when setting boundaries? #workingmoms #insightonsite #mentalwellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #selfcompassion #worklifebalance #worklifeintegration

Everyone’s journey as a mom, as a parent, looks differently. As a working a mom, it’s a balance and what sometimes feels like a fight against the norm. It’s as though you can’t have your cake and eat it too if you’re an ambitious woman. It’s motherhood or a career, but not both. Don’t allow societal norms to dictate what you do. Know that you can be a great mom and a successful career woman. The two can coexist. I’m currently reading “Ambitious Like A Mother. Why prioritizing your career is good for your kids.” And it is speaking right to my soul and pouring gasoline on my fire of ambition and motherhood. This quote struck me today and made me so sad and angry for the women who feel that they can’t do both. - “yet, for some women, including me, being a stay at home mother can, at times, feel like a poor fit. But voicing anything other than gratitude and joy for this privilege sounds obnoxious, obtuse, and ungrateful in the extreme.” I always knew I would be a working Mom, ambitious and striving to be successful and accomplished. Moms, you CAN be exactly who you are meant to be - career-driven, ambitious, successful - while being an incredible Mom. Allowing yourself to stay true to who you are, will make you an even better mom. Don’t allow anyone to tell you differently. #workingmoms #careerdrivenmom #ambition #authentic

Every day, I witness (and experience) how the societal expectations placed on working moms create a perfect storm of guilt, self-doubt, and overwhelm that can feel insurmountable. The perfect storm facing working moms: → Unrealistic expectations to be the primary caregiver → Pressure to uphold the "ideal worker" norm at the office → Constant comparison to other moms, especially on social media → The mental load of juggling countless responsibilities → The pervasive belief that they are not enough This toxic combination leads to: ‣ Overwhelming guilt ‣ Chronic self-doubt ‣ Emotional exhaustion ‣ Strained relationships ‣ Compromised well-being It's time to challenge these societal norms and redefine what it means to be a successful mom in today's world. If you have a team member that is a working mom (or sole parent), know that the weight of the world is on their shoulders to perform in every aspect of life. Extend some grace and know that summer is coming to a close and as they pass the torch back to the teachers in the fall -- it might feel lighter but the mental load is still there. #WorkingMoms #SocietalExpectations #Leadership #LeadershipSupport #HappyTeams
