Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (WUTH) has been delivering different leadership development programmes across the organisation, ensuring every staff member has access to development opportunities👏 Supporting WUTH with its expertise, the NHS North West Leadership Academy has proved to be a reliable ally in helping the trust tailor impactful leadership solutions. Hayley Rigby, Deputy Chief People Officer of WUTH, said that she has found the NWLA membership “really valuable”, both in the actual support and in connecting “what’s available” to what the trust is trying to achieve. I don’t post very often, mainly because I find it hard to take the time and step back to appreciate accomplishments, but two things happened. Back in September during the first pilot of LEAD I was having lunch with my favorite German Talent Expert, Jannes Kirchhoff, who has been there for this project since day 1 and he said “can you believe we created this programme in just a few months” and then tonight, reading Vicky’s post I realized the importance of practicing what I preach and celebrating success. So allow me to… let’s be honest… brag… The LEAD programme was just a general idea and concept in February of this year with a minor goal (*sarcasm) to enable ALL people leaders at JDE Peet’s with essential leadership skills but make it scalable, relevant, and practical for HR teams across the world to deploy and managers to benefit from. With the insightful expertise brought by an amazing project team who eagerly took on additional work to provide support, local and functional perspectives, and help me craft a concept into a full blown leadership development programme. So huge shout out to Vicky Rondeau, Jannes Kirchhoff, Faizaan Ahmad, Hedwich Niemeijer, Aïsha Tuhumury, Eva Karagianni, and Tamara Zavorotko And in a matter of months we have the LEAD programme. Made up of pre-work gamified eLearnings created in collaboration with Attensi that teach the skills necessary for people leaders to role model the JDE Peet’s leadership capabilities in a fun, time effective, and engaging way. Priming manager’s knowledge of the relevant concepts so they can spend majority of their time in the LEAD workshops (designed in partnership with Hemsley Fraser diving deeper into the material and exploring how they can grow in their role as a people leader. And I could probably write an actual novel about everything that’s happened in the last few months 😂 but if you know anything about global scale L&D projects, I think the below list of what has been done and will soon be done, in such a short time, speaks for itself. And for the record it could not have been done without the support and collaboration from so many of my amazing colleagues and vendor partners. 🟢February: Project Team Kickoff 🟢June: Gamification Completed 🟢August: 4 full day workshops created 🟢September: Train the Trainer of 8 Regional Expert Trainers AND first pilot round in Utrecht, Netherlands 🟢October: First round of revisions implemented 🟡November: Pilots in 8 different countries (as you can see) and a 12 hour live stream launch event next week! 🟡December: Global Train the Trainer and second round of revisions made 🟡January ‘25: Global Launch So you’ll be hearing more from me because an idea turned into a reality… and that’s pretty cool. #unleashyourpossibility JDE Peet's Ana Ferrarezi Karen Curtin Kenneth Teo Patrycja Kozioł Hara Hatzirodia Mayke Bongartz-Treur Toni Zinzan

What is CAALE’s Leadership Development Program? Who better to explain it than Eduardo Placer, CAALE Board Member and the mastermind behind our LDP weekend! On July 12, we hosted our annual LDP weekend, welcoming over 40 incoming students from states such as Florida, Atlanta, California, Texas, and more. During the weekend, we organized a series of engaging activities designed to help students connect with one another, explore their heritage, and develop their leadership skills. With over 60 Cuban-American college students—both current and incoming—our goal is to nurture the next generation of CAALE leaders, grounded in their Cuban heritage, and driven by integrity, clarity of purpose, and a commitment to service. #CAALELeadership #LDP2024 #CubanAmericanLeaders #HeritageAndLeadership #FutureLeaders #CAALE #LeadershipDevelopment #CubanHeritage #ServiceAndIntegrity #StudentLeaders #LeadershipJourney #CAALECommunity #CubanAmericanPride #NextGenLeaders #EmpowerThroughHeritage #CAALEFamily #CubanAmericanFuture #LeadershipWeekend #StudentEmpowerment #BuildingLeaders #LDPExperience #CAALEImpact #CubanAmericanExcellence #LeadershipRoots #HeritageInAction #CAALE2024 #CubanAmericanSuccess #LeadershipPathway #CultivatingLeaders #EmpowermentThroughHeritage

Great post Catherine. Especially this part: Practising with neutrality: Separating political and personal views from what the organisation actually needs. Being a neutral source of expertise: Basing advice on evidence and research, not on personal narratives. Taking an intersectional approach: Seeing inclusion as an all-encompassing effort, instead of focusing on one demographic and alienating others. Repairing and restoring: Rebuilding trust after broken promises and managing emotions across the board.
