A brand Indian mothers love is now Bankrupt? Tupperware, a brand once synonymous to Indian household has filed for Bankruptcy. This US based brand is known for its colorful and versatile products that apparently every Indian mother is fond of. Despite its craze in the market and rich legacy, Company struggled to keep pace with the dynamic and evolving market. The biggest reason? 𝐀 𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 While other brands were focusing heavily on marketing or E-commerce, Tupperware's 90% (approx) sales came from direct sales channels until 2023. The biggest gap today in any field is between 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝'𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 in terms of quality, convenience, and durability. While providing quality and durability, Tupperware couldn’t look after customer's convenience of shopping from one click. It's surely an unexpected turn of events faced by the brand.
