Co-CEOs and Nurse Leaders: A Surprising Connection Two leaders at the helm, sharing responsibility, trust, and purpose. It sounds bold—but can it actually work? This article from Senior Housing News written by Austin Montgomery talks about the growing interest in co-CEO models in senior living. And here’s the paradox: what makes this structure work isn’t just strategy—it’s trust, communication, and relationships. Sound familiar? These same principles drive successful nurse leadership. Nurses lead under intense pressure, balancing competing demands while fostering trust and collaboration to achieve the best outcomes—for patients, teams, and organizations. The lesson is clear: Whether at the bedside or the boardroom, leadership thrives on connection. Here’s how organizations can succeed: 1️⃣ Develop leaders—nurse leaders, co-CEOs, or otherwise—who prioritize trust and emotional intelligence. 2️⃣ Embrace a “head + heart” strategy that balances expertise with human connection. 3️⃣ Recognize that great leadership at every level creates alignment and drives results. Empowering nurse leaders creates a ripple effect across the organization. Building trust between co-CEOs creates alignment from the boardroom to the bedside. So, what do you think? Is this the leadership evolution we’ve been waiting for? #ThinkDifferently #SeniorLiving #Leadership #NurseLeadership #Nurses #Communication #Relationships #Trust

Senior #nurseleaders and #healthcare #leadership: Saving time for your nurse leaders that are closest-to-care is not optional. It's imperative. "Time" is almost always the first barrier we hear about when we start a program, but it is definitely not at the top of a nurse leader's list when we are done. That is because in our Skilled Nurse Leader© Program, this is one of the first foundations we focus on. We use evidence-informed tools to guide nurse leaders to reflect on their current time challenges and build new habits to maximize what little time they do have for what matters most. This is a skill that's not as simple as "time management." It's about 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩. We teach it...and it works. In one of our client sessions in September a direct-care nurse leader participant said: "𝘞𝘰𝘸...𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘐 𝘊𝘈𝘕 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦...𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵." Do YOU want to help your nurse leaders succeed with this foundational skill and learn more about The Skilled Nurse Leader© Program?
