I would start with priming first. Please hear me out. Framing involves presenting information in a way that emphasizes certain aspects of an issue while downplaying others. By choosing specific frames, political parties can influence how people interpret information. Priming is about influencing the criteria by which people evaluate political issues, candidates, or events. It sets the agenda for what topics are deemed important and affects what information comes to mind when voters think about a candidate or policy. Priming should be used first because it establishes what issues are most important in the minds of voters. When a political party primes certain issues, it makes those issues more salient to voters. This, in turn, sets the stage for framing.
