At Peace Shapers, we do something truly unique. Often, people don’t realize just how important it is to equip children with peacebuilding skills until we show them. This training isn't just a nice addition; it's essential for preparing them to face the future as socially responsible, compassionate citizens. The lack of funding in this area highlights the problem. It’s not that people don’t care, but because we’re not physically rebuilding schools, our work isn’t as visible. When you can't see the changes, it can seem less urgent or worthy of investment. But who doesn’t know that behavioral changes take time?🤷🏾♀️ This is exactly why we’re facing the challenges we are today. By neglecting to teach the values that shape kindness, responsibility, and empathy, we’re shaping a generation that’s focused more on external success than on becoming well-rounded, moral individuals. Investing in the internal development of children is just as important as any physical infrastructure, because it’s the foundation for a better, more peaceful society.
