Pomegranate trees (Punica granatum) take three to six years to mature sufficiently to produce their distinctive red, leathery fruits. The fan-shaped fruit contains numerous seeds with a bright red outer layer when the fruit is ripe. In our factory, pomegranate seed oil is extracted through mechanical cold-pressing from the seeds of the fruit. Following the extraction process, the oil is filtered. In combination with base oils like our sunflower oil, pomegranate seed oil is suitable for formulations targeted at mature, stressed skin. Pomegranate seed oil, known for its unique fatty acid profile containing the rare punicic acid, is believed to possess antioxidant properties that combat premature skin aging. Pomegranate Seed Oil penetrates quickly and absorbs deeply without leaving a greasy residue.
