As a social impact consultant, I spend quite a lot of my time working with businesses to help them to use their resources to make a difference in the world. I also try to walk the walk when I'm not in work mode. I thought it would be helpful to highlight 5 things you could do to deliver social impact in your day-to-day life: 💳 Support social businesses: Use your buying power to support companies that prioritise social impact. There won't be much in your cupboards that you can't buy locally or in a more socially responsible way. 👩 Volunteer: Engage with organisations that focus on social change and align with your values. Use your time (or even better, your skills) to help out. You'll be surprised how much you learn and get from it as well. 💷 Make a donation: Contributing money or goods to charities is quick and easy. Charities love the consistency that comes with regular giving, but one-offs are great too. 🤝 Make an introduction: Use your network to help someone out. Can you help them find a job or get more customers for their small business? ✊ Speak up on social issues: Use your voice and platforms to advocate for causes you care about. Have I missed anything?
