Get to know your broker ⬇️ Hi- I’m Kelly 👋 Like most people Freight was definitely not apart of my original life plans but I can't imagine not working in this industry. I truly feel grateful to have a job I love. 🚚 My biggest motivator is helping people. I love taking the time to fully understand a customers needs/motivators 🚚 I pride myself in timely and transparent communication. 📦 What I love most about logistics is the opportunity to constantly problem solve and think outside the box. There is no blanket solution that works great for everyone. 📦I am definitely not going to claim to be an expert as I know there is always something new to learn. ✈️ Outside of logistics I try to spend as much time outside as possible with the goal of 1hr minimum a day. I love doing anything creative and spend most of my free time painting or working on a new project. In need of a new broker? Let's chat. #logistics #freight #broker #freightbroker

#opportunity #freight #work Stay Calm—Even When It’s Not Your Fault Today, I received a call from someone I initially thought was a happy customer. But instead, the conversation began with frustration: "Why are you emailing me? That driver needs detention! It was his fault for being late to the pick-up!" The frustration was loud and clear. I listened patiently, and when I got a chance, I responded calmly: "Hello, sir. Are you sure you’ve reached the right person? I’m confident we didn’t have any issues with the load." There was a pause before he asked, "Who are you?" I replied, "I’m Paulina from Eagle Star Logistics." At that point, he started laughing and apologized—it turns out he had called the wrong person! My email just happened to be listed below the one he intended to contact. What started as a tense conversation ended with a positive outcome. We chatted for a bit, and by the end of the call, I gained more loads for my business. The takeaway: Stay calm and professional under pressure, even when it’s not your fault. And always double-check who you’re calling—you never know when a mistake might lead to an unexpected opportunity!

The reason why you can’t find qualified drivers... Is because they’re already employed at another trucking company The only way to get the good drivers to apply for your company And not rely on the off-chance they’re looking at a job board Is to ethically influence them to join your business Keep in mind, this isn’t poaching or stealing drivers This is showing off your trucking business so well That the qualified drivers want to go out of their way to join your mission This can be done by many things including: - Posting driver testimonials - Better benefits and rewards (that aren’t just payment) - Treating drivers so well that they promote your business - Having a professional-looking website AKA run a business that you would want to join if you were a driver Give them reasons why they should join your business Instead of letting them think of reasons why not

Yes, there's a difference! Here's what each one means 👇 ➡️ Hotshots A time-sensitive job. Sometimes, you can quote a premium price for these. ➡️ Backloads Often sold at a lower rate, these jobs are more flexible. They’re ideal for filling your return journeys. ➡️ Co-loading This is when your driver transports several loads on the same journey for different customers. Co-loading is only allowed on HX when you have written permission from all parties involved. Make sure you know what you're quoting on! Are there any other terms you're not sure about? Ask us in the comments! #haulage #logistics
