In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we talked with Alessandra Morejon, a pharmacy leader in our Cincinnati/Dayton division, and her family to learn more about how her family’s history has played a role in her career journey. Alessandra proudly represents the mission of Kroger Health, connecting with her patients on a personal and emotional level, building meaningful connections that drive positive outcomes. I'm thrilled to be attending the Creative Spirit US Gala on April 10 to show support for #RoadtoEquity. Were you aware that 2.2 billion people globally live with sight loss? Shockingly, only 0.26% of ads feature audio descriptions. The ongoing battle for inclusivity is crucial, beginning right at the core of your digital marketing strategies. How inclusive is your digital marketing strategy?
On April 10, Creative Spirit US will host our annual #RoadtoEquity gala at the NYSE, where we’ll ring the closing bell to support fair-wage employment for the neurodivergent community: https://lnkd.in/dsNhkXHx. Last month marked my 6th year at Kendra Scott, and it’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for my time here. This year, I became the Co-Chair of our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Council and finally met Kendra! Two things that have been on my bucketlist for years! To celebrate, here are 6 things I’ve learned from my time at Kendra Scott: 1. Despite what you may have heard, women actually want and are meant to work together! 2. Prioritizing belonging isn't just a "nice to have"; it's essential for creating a workplace that employees are proud to brag about. 3. A nonlinear career can provide a diverse skill set and enriching life experiences, opening doors to unexpected and rewarding opportunities. 4. Great leaders see possibility in their teams and inspire their people to innovate without fear! 5. We all have an innate desire to help others and should leverage our positions to improve our corners of the world. 6. Be like the Boss: Like Kendra, lead with heart and see the person behind every interaction. I can’t help but to feel that there’s so much more for me to learn and I’m looking forward to every lesson! Cheers to 6 years, KS! ✨

Wow, can’t believe it’s already been 6 months! 🤩 Here are a few things I've picked up during this exciting journey: 1. Embracing Change: Transitioning between different team dynamics, e-commerce to bricks & mortar marketing, a well-established business vs a startup like Bloc Skincare, has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. 2. Marketing Foundations Matter: It’s been so fun to introduce the team to core marketing principles. Simple campaigns, emails, automation, and brand presence make a huge difference, even if they seem like a no-brainer to marketing brains. 3. Slowing Down (Kind Of): I like moving fast, but sometimes this isn’t always an option, especially with TGA & AHPRA requirements. Big shoutout to Ashley Freeman for being the brains behind navigating these waters and teaching me along the way! 4. Back to the Skin Industry: I’m thrilled to be back in the skin industry, connecting with top experts and reigniting my passion on a whole new level. Grateful for Dr Andrew Freeman, not just as a boss, but as a mentor, leader, and friend. 5. Valuing Open Conversations: Having a safe space for open discussions, sharing perspectives, and being heard, even when views differ, is truly priceless. 6. Proving Doubters Wrong: When someone suggested our website’s Shop space wouldn’t succeed due to market saturation, we doubled our YoY revenue in under 6 months. Challenge accepted and conquered! 7. Lean On Your Resources: It's perfectly okay to ask for help. Most people are not only willing but happy to lend a hand. I'm so incredibly grateful for the amazing people I've met in my marketing lifetime who who continue to support me. Feeling grateful for these experiences and looking forward to what’s next! 🚀

To achieve sustained success, organizations should adopt agile leadership, prioritize diversity and inclusion for improved business outcomes, and establish comprehensive plans that align strategic objectives with operational efficiencies. Furthermore, forming cross-functional sales teams and implementing co-leadership models can enhance collaboration and adaptability, which are essential for navigating the dynamic business environment.
