The artist sculpts objects crafted from wood and ceramics and adjusts the source of light to determine the angle and distortion of the object. The final product is then positioned in front of the light to create intentional shadows and shapes that reflect the sculptor's vision. Topics of light sculpture often are the people, stories about life, culture, history... Taking inspiration from human elements, the light sculptures comprise three key components. The BODY represents the physical structure or a wooden or ceramic block, the MIND symbolizes wisdom through the lamp, the light, and the SOUL embodies emotions, manifesting through shadows and images. To create a sculpture from light, it is crucial to figure out clearly the shape of the work. It is also important to accurately calculate the structure and size of the real sculpture to ensure that its shadow will not be deformed. Sculptures are mostly created from driftwood and ceramics, which require special care from the artist. A moment of neglect might cost a whole block of wood.
