The La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce hosted our November Forum focused on the “State of Our Ports.” This two-part series highlighted key developments for our region’s transportation and economy. In part one, Jeffrey S. Tripp, A.A.E., ACE, Director of the La Crosse Regional Airport, shared plans for the airport’s strategic growth, including the addition of new carriers and an infrastructure upgrade. Part two shifted focus to the Mississippi River’s role in our economy. Bob Gollnik from the La Crosse Regional Planning Committee and Adam Binsfeld, President of Brennan Marine Inc., discussed how our local harbor impacts economic activity. Travis Black, Director of Inland Waterways at the Federal DOT, also provided valuable insights into national trends and available grant opportunities for infrastructure development. Thank you to our expert presenters and the engaged business community for making this discussion possible! #Lacrossechamber #Chooselacrosse #Explorelacrosse #Thriveinlacrosse #Lacrossewi #Driftlessregion #Firstfriend

Important ongoing updates from the Port of Long Beach about the Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility. Public is invited to this virtual meeting. Full Press Release Here: https://bit.ly/3ARw1G4 Registration here: https://bit.ly/3CGPn16 The Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility project team will update the public on the status of the Port of Long Beach project during a virtual community meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. The planned Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility is the centerpiece of the Port of Long Beach’s rail capital improvement program. It will shift more cargo to “on-dock rail,” where containers are taken to and from marine terminals by trains. Moving cargo by on-dock rail is cleaner and more efficient, as it reduces truck traffic. No cargo trucks would visit the facility. #WTCLB #WorldTradeCenterLongBeach #LBEP #LongBeachEconomicPartnership #CityofLongBeach #economicdevelopment #growinglongbeach #growingtogether #growingbusinesses #GoBiz #Impact #Access #WTC #Opportunity #growlongbeachtogether #MayorRexRichardson #partnerships #GlobalCommunity Felipe Cusnir City of Long Beach Leah Goold-Haws IMBA Long Beach Economic Partnership Bo Martinez Mayor Rex Richardson California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz)

The City of Charlotte has transformed a former freight rail line into a people-focused trail and transit corridor – much like the original vision for the Atlanta Beltline. Charlotte leaders and community members say that it’s not just the trail, but it’s the transit that builds their communities, drives their economy, and makes the corridor accessible to everyone. Thanks to the Charlotte Area Transit System and Charlotte Center City Partners for working with us to tell your compelling story!
