Today is the National Made in Italy Day. An important opportunity to think about how the excellence of Italian products should be protected, valorised and above all promoted, so that it can be increasingly better known and recognised internationally. As Parmacotto Group, we are very proud to represent the Italian food supply chain, carrying on a tradition that combines craftsmanship and innovation to offer genuine products of the highest quality. We have launched many strategic projects to extend our presence in foreign markets, keep the prestige of Made in Italy alive and bring our country's know-how to tables all over the world. The value of food export is impressive. According to Istat data on foreign trade 2023, Italian exports exceeded 21 billion euro last year, an 8% increase over the previous 12 months. It is therefore clear that alongside the economic and planning efforts that each company must make in this regard, an institutional contribution is essential to support the competitiveness of Italian companies globally. For example, through the creation of networks and business partnerships in order to facilitate access to international markets and the introduction of concrete tax relief measures to support this important work of internationalisation.

Three years ago, I moved to Bogotá, Colombia for the soft launch of Pablo’s Mate. While on this journey I learned something very valuable: Authenticity isn’t bought, it’s inspired… Upon arriving to Colombia, my main goals were to: - Test the market with a product that is completely foreign to them - no one drinks yerba mate in Colombia. - Test my skills as a businessman. I never started my own business, there are a lot of aspects to business that are natural to me but some that really challenge me. - Build the foundation of a truly authentic brand that is, by default, international. Bogotá is a great city to launch a business! It’s full of ambitious and extremely capable people. I spent time with a local artist (IG @madkazper666) and casually painted the picture of Pablo over a few dinners. He later created this video, unsolicited. It was truly inspiring to see his take on Pablo. Although I did pay him for his work, I could never bring this out of him. I had to plant the seed and allow him to create on his own. Pablo’s Mate is more than a beverage, it’s a reminder. A reminder that alchemy truly exists in all of us, despite the environment you’re born into. We have the capacity to create the space we need in order to create the world we want. That’s the essence of Pablo's Mate. The “good-for-you energy” market largely overlooks communities that need it the most. Not Pablo: Pablo is approachable and meets people where they are, and gives them what they need - that reminder.
