Without this, Fellowship isn’t valuable. We all know we need people in our corner. The church is a great place to develop that group. But fellowship without 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 has little value. The church is filled with plastic smiles. It’s easy to stay at surface level with people. It’s both comfortable and clean. If we stay there, we will drift off course. Shallow friendships don't do us much good. We need wise counsel. We need structure. It’s not easy though. Accountability is messy. It’s vulnerable. It’s uncomfortable. It’s time consuming. But it’s so rewarding. Most men know it’s important but won’t do it. Well… be different. Ask another man to check in on your high-risk areas. You do the same for him. Here are 5 questions you can use with an accountability partner. [These are from Man in the Mirror] 1. How has God blessed this week? What went right? 2. What problem consumed your thoughts this week? What went wrong 3. Temptation: How were you tempted this week? How did you respond? 4. Time: Have you given your time to the ones who deserve it? 5. Service: What've you done for someone this week that can’t be repaid? A man left unchecked is a danger to himself and his family. _____ I had the pleasure of being in a Discipleship group with these men. Great times. Great conversations. Great friends.

Power-full practices for these times to keep our collective fires burning: 🔥 Foregrounding relationships and relational culture, and especially bridging beyond bonding (like-to-like) 🔥 Being grounded in core #values and principles that are co-created and co-evolved 🔥 Establishing, collectively, #accountability structures and processes focused on the values and principles and maintaining relational culture 🔥 Relentlessly keeping those who are most negatively impacted by the existing system(s) at the center, not to exclude or peripheralize others, but rather to make sure their experiences-voices-ideas-advocacies serve as a guidepost for systemic redesign (the curb cut effect suggests that when we design for those who are most marginalized, we catch others up in the process) 🔥 Grounding in the anchoring power of #faith, which may or may not be religiously-sourced, and nonetheless is about having humility in the face of Life’s gifts and grandeur, which is complex and awe-inspiring, and asks us to both never give up but also to let go … https://lnkd.in/eNKqbKbZ

It was great to be in Kenya this week with Moving Minds Alliance, examining power dynamics and shifting our understanding of international development. In the face of complex global challenges, the traditional approach to foreign assistance is no longer enough or relevant. Too often, well-meaning aid is imposed from the outside, failing to recognize the unique needs, values, and solutions within the very communities it aims to support. To create lasting change, we must shift the paradigm and prioritize the voices and agency of those who are directly affected. This requires trust, direct and catalytic funding, capacity building, and education to ensure displaced and vulnerable communities become architects of their own success. This is not a call to do less; it’s a call to do it differently. The future of aid lies in shifting toward a model of true partnership. By respecting local context, elevating diverse perspectives, and supporting grassroots initiatives, we must give people the power to drive transformative change on their own terms.

Action in Faith with Faith in Action was an empowering experience for participants of the “Kingdom Connection” speaker series hosted by Christian Unity Baptist Church last night. The participation and energy levels were fantastic! We shared stories, and thought-provoking insights with each other. F42 Empowerment aims to inspire audiences to achieve their hopes and dreams by providing effective strategic tools. 100% of responding audience members found the experience inspiring.  We talked about creating a vision, implementing action steps, having faith in ourselves, and creating positive self-talk to achieve expected outcomes. The feedback was exceptional. Of the 22 responses, 100% found the session valuable, and 100% wanted to engage in the F42 experience again. Keep growing, keep making progress, and don’t give up on FAITH!

COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” -Helen Keller What is a community? A community is a group of individuals who share common interests, values or goals and interact with one another in various ways. Now, what is a fellowship? A fellowship is a supportive community or group of individuals who come together for a common purpose. Finally, Community fellowship is a gathering who come together to build relationships, support one another and work toward common goals. Why is this needed? 📌Through teachings, discussion and prayers in such fellowships, believers can deepen their understanding of scripture and grow their faith. 📌 Fellowship also helps to build strong relationships, creating bonds of friendship and love 📌 Engaging with a diverse group of believers can broaden one’s perspective and understanding of faith 📌 Being part of a community offers emotional and spiritual support during challenging times Community fellowship is vital for nurturing faith, fostering relationships, encouraging others and fulfilling the call to love and serve others in the spirit of Christ.
