Nowadays, expectations from Software QA engineers are sky-high, while their compensation remains relatively low. Companies should recognize that QA engineers are specialized professionals and not simply developers with a different title. If a QA engineer possesses extensive coding knowledge, they might have considered a career as a developer. Conversely, if companies equate QA engineers with developers, then their compensation should be commensurate with that of developers. To successfully crack a QA interview today, candidates must possess a diverse skill set, including theoretical manual testing fundamentals, database querying, Java, Selenium automation, API automation,Cyprus, Playwright,Agile methodologies, version control systems, Jenkins CI, API testing using Postman, Performance Testing and more. This extensive skill set makes it challenging to compete with the relatively simpler requirements for frontend or backend developer roles. Even after a successful interview, candidates often face salary negotiations, where companies prioritize hiring individuals who can accept lower offers. This disheartening trend can undermine the efforts and skills of dedicated QA professionals. #QA #QualityAnalyst
