This is why training is needed in restaurants. Why carry the wine across the floor, holding it from the stem of the bottle? When presenting the wine do it closer to the customer so they can read the label. When pouring to customers, your hand or finger should not touch the label at any point so the customer can read the label when pouring. When pouring, there should be a slight twist left to right so there are no drips of wine on the table. Why carry your serving cloth when you are not using it? Why leave your serving cloth at the bottom of the bottle at the table surely around the neck of the bottle. This is why we need training in restaurants the skills are being lost in etiquette.
