Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming MP Brad Redekopp to our Saskatoon office! Thanks to the Canada Summer Job (CSJ) grant, we were able to cover the cost of one of our amazing summer students who plays a crucial role in running our camps. We’re incredibly grateful for the support that makes our programs possible. Big shoutout to MP Brad Redekopp and his office for their continued support! 🙌🩵🙌 #LDASK #CommunitySupport #ThankYou #LearningDisabilites #Saskatoon

The workforce in Dumfries and Galloway is expected to decline between 2025-32 (from 62,900 to 62,500). To maintain our services, our shops, our schools and everything else we need a larger workforce and sustainable jobs. A new National Park for Galloway, South and East Ayrshire would help in some of the most economically challenged areas of south-west Scotland. Direct employment – often in rewarding and skilled roles such education, woodland and conservation posts – would make a valuable difference. But there’s far more to it than that. National Parks do an enormous amount with young people, for example providing apprenticeships and work placements that prepared them for jobs in the conservation and outdoors sectors. That’s not just a good thing, but looking to the future shape of Scotland’s jobs market – it’s vital. Skills Development Scotland is crystal clear that Green Jobs are fundamental in tomorrow’s economy. Our area cannot afford to be left behind in the Green Jobs revolution and a National Park can help us do that. #greatforgalloway #gallowaynationalpark #jobs #supportingyoungpeople
