Don’t underestimate the power of an internship. It can open doors and lead to amazing opportunities down the line. One of our former interns from last summer recently signed an offer to join our team as a full-time member. This is a testament to the importance of seizing every opportunity that comes your way, no matter how small it may seem at the time. Internships provide: -invaluable experience -networking opportunities, and -a chance to showcase your skills and potential. So, to all the current interns out there: -keep pushing yourself -soaking up knowledge, and -making the most of every moment. You never know where it might lead you! #internships #jobsearch

✨ With summer internships winding down, our early careers team wanted to share a few important tips on how to maintain your connections going into the new school year. Just because your internship is over does not mean you need to stop building and strengthening your network! 1. Schedule monthly check-ins with some of your new connections, mentors, etc. 2. Save work email addresses of your new connections - once you leave your work email is typically not accessible. 3. Reach out on LinkedIn and connect with fellow interns and colleagues 4. Engage with us if you see us on campus this year! #earlycareers #campusrecruiting #uhginterns #internships #2024interns

I landed 3 paid internships in my first year of college… and lost all of them within a month. Back then, I thought more internships meant more learning, more opportunities, and more money. Turns out, I was completely wrong. I was just starting out and didn’t have the skills or time to handle them all. I ended up feeling burnt out and like I wasn’t doing enough anywhere. If I could go back, I’d focus on just one or two roles and really learn from them. What’s your take? Is it better to focus on fewer internships or try many? #internships #college #work

Long Term Internships >>> One Month Internship As an Intern, your primary focus should be either to fetch a long term internship or seek an extension in your one month internship. But, why? Because, a month is insufficient (mostly) to gain experience and relevant knowledge as the major part is invested in accustoming to the place, understanding the allocation process, developing a sense of trust, showcasing your skills, etc. Additionally, it helps you build a strong relationship with the organisation. To truly benefit, it's essential for interns to gain hands-on experience directly aligned with their field. UNPAID INTERNSHIPS ARE A BLESSING NOT CURSE It’s a common misconception that internships primarily benefit companies by offering free labor. In reality, most interns don’t contribute significantly to the company’s bottom line. 🤝 Time and Mentorship: Managers invest in training interns, offering guidance and sharing industry insights, knowing the intern won’t stay long—but that’s part of the growth process. 💡 Hands-on Learning: Interns learn the practical application of theories they've studied and gain industry-specific knowledge that can't be acquired in a traditional academic setting. 🔍 Perspective Shift: Think of unpaid internships as an extension of your education rather than a job. The true "pay" comes in the form of experience, connections, and personal growth. At the end of the day, internships benefit the intern far more than the company. And that’s a fair trade for those willing to learn. #InternshipLearning #ProfessionalDevelopment #Mentorship #LearningOpportunity #UnpaidInternships

Internships: Valuable Experience or Unpaid Labor? Internships are a critical stepping stone for students and early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience. But why is it that so many organizations offer little to no compensation or incentives for interns, even when they rely heavily on our contributions? It’s challenging to give our best, knowing there’s often no financial support or acknowledgment. For many of us, the hours, energy, and ideas we pour into our roles help these organizations reach their goals. So, shouldn't interns receive fair compensation or at least some form of encouragement? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this: What’s your experience with internships? Do you think it’s time for organizations to rethink how they value their interns? #CareerGrowth #LinkedInCareerGrowthChallenge #TheGlobalAnjee #GrowWithTDA #InternshipRealities #FutureProfessionals #FairCompensation

💭 Are these internships really worth it? I've noticed a trend of internships that everyone seems to be getting these days—internships where the main activity is completing a 30-day challenge, but there's no real hands-on experience. 🤔 While these may look good on a resume, I can’t help but question their actual value. Learning through real-world applications and building something meaningful are what truly add value, not just ticking off daily tasks in a 30-day challenge. Internships should be about more than just the title—they should be about the experience and skills gained along the way. 🚀 #Internship #Experience #Learning #ProfessionalGrowth #LinkedIn
