The very important work of evaluating potential nonprofit partners falls to incredibly dedicated and thoughtful volunteers on our Grant Review Committees. Thanks to this year’s reviewers who helped to select our inaugural group of Health Equity grantees! (Stay tuned for the grantee announcement in January!) 1dThanks Life Science Cares Boston and especially Kelly Meister Brawn, Ph.D. for all you do in helping those in need. After serving on the "Human Survival" and "Basic Needs" grant committees since 2018 and then being on our new "Health Equity" committee this year, it's amazing to see the impact LSC has on the community. But, it's also very discouraging to see how big the need is. I knew very little about the underlying problems contributing to health equity just a few months ago so I got way more back than I put in for this cycle. And, I think we helped make a very small dent in solving these problems. It all adds up, though. Happy holidays to all.
