It's when you use LLMs for solving real business problems you realize how poorly most follow simple instructions. So called community fine-tunes offer few benefits and in reality serve just to promote small organizations and individuals with access to a few A100s; they do a finetune, put their name on it, and hope someone will notice. Don't waste time; use original releases from big tech: Qwen 2, Llama 3, and Gemma 2. And if you have the budget, opt for Claude 3.5.

If, like me, you use Microsoft Word grammar checks as a safety net when finalising your documents, you may be interested (somewhat aghast?) to learn that these checks are currently much more effective in en-US than en-GB. My colleagues and I have been doing some testing and found that the web browser version in en-US is the most reliable format for grammar checks. Why not test it out for yourself and see whether your usual checks catch the following: - This section set outs the main risk factors. - Technologies has been developed to help improve productivity. - The risk is heightened in and production environment.
