LinkedIn is famous — or infamous — for being a platform for #selfpromotion. So let’s ask the first question that impacts your #reputation, or #branding: Do you react with “meh” or selective hearing or avoidance when a potential customer prods you for your #sustainability practices? The blunt truth is 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, if you’re not doing business with #GeBIZ, if you’re not supplying to #listedcompanies or #MNCs, if you’re not #exporting to markets which can afford your price points, the remaining business opportunities in the next six years will steadily be dominated by #corporateclients who need suppliers and partners to practise sustainability, and lucrative #affluentconsumers who want to make a point by choosing green brands. And 𝙣𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. Your immediate corporate client may not need to file sustainability reports, but their clients, or their clients’ clients, right up to the other end of the supply chain, will likely need to. It’s only a matter of time before your immediate corporate client needs to file sustainability reports. In Singapore, that “time” is 1 year 8 months from now, until we hit 2026. It can take an #SME anywhere from 3 months to 2 years to be sustainability ready. Are you sure you can be ready in time if you don’t take action now? #ESGreporting

➡︎ We will not achieve net zero emissions by 2050 without green innovation. ➡︎ Despite favorable circumstances, there is still a massive technological gap in the market, as research and the process of implementing innovations can take up to 10 years.
