Meal kits 🍽️ Even if you haven't tried them yourself, you probably know of at least one brand that offers them. The convenience of having them delivered straight to your door is undeniable. However, as with anything, there are some warning signs to be aware of when considering a meal kit. 🚩 You’re unable to track your order Regardless of how great your meals are packaged, if you’re unable to track your order, you’ll have no idea how long it’s been sitting there, raising concerns for health and safety. 🚩The box is poorly packaged You might argue that occasional damage during transit is inevitable. While that's true, meal kit packages should be designed to withstand disruptions and damage to ensure they arrive safely. 🚩 The food is all the same temperature Chances are, you’ll be receiving proteins as parts of your meals - these should arrive frozen or partially frozen. If not, you could risk getting food poisoning and other health issues. Are there any other red flags that you can think of?

It is important NOT to get into power struggles with your child over food. Eating and meal time should be a time to relax and connect as a family. If you have a picky eater, make sure to serve a variety of foods at the meal, including one thing you know your child likes to eat. Also, it will be helpful to have the food on the table ‘family style’ so each person can serve him/herself. Then model eating a variety of foods for your child. As long as your child is healthy, they are okay to eat a limited selection of foods - typically kids outgrow this. #parenting #pickyeaters #powerstruggles #gettingmychildtolisten #childfollowingdirections #parentingweeklytip
