Imagine fleeing your home and leaving everything behind, yet still having dreams of becoming a doctor, teacher, or scientist. Refugee children are just like us—they have aspirations and potential that deserve to be nurtured. Education is a right, not a privilege & a child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. By supporting education for refugees, we invest in a future where all children can thrive. 🌟📖🌎 I dedicate this post to the asylum seekers and refugees that I teach and have taught in the past. -Sofia #WorldRefugeeDay #education #refuge #equaleducation

Happy Back to School Month 😊 Access to #education in refugee camps remains a significant challenge. Despite the efforts of international organizations and host countries, nearly half of the 7.9 million school-age refugee children are unable to attend school. The barriers to education are multifaceted, including the scarcity of schools within camps, lack of resources, and the transient nature of refugee life. Education is recognized as a fundamental human right and is crucial for the development and future of these children. It offers not only knowledge and skills but also a sense of normalcy and stability in an otherwise uncertain environment. Initiatives like the DAFI programme and Connected Learning are striving to improve access to higher education, aiming to enroll 15% of young refugee women and men in higher education by 2030. The integration of refugee children into national education systems is a step towards inclusive education, which can enhance community resilience and empower refugees to rebuild their lives and contribute to society. #Refugees #Humanitarian #WashInSchool

WHAT SHOULD THE EDUCATION OF REFUGEES CONTAIN? The education of refugees should also include WORK ON BELIEFS in the sense of HOW THEY AFFECT THEIR PERCEPTION OF REALITY. The aim of this is that BOTH THOSE WHO ARE REFUGEES AND THOSE TO WHOM THEY CAME UNDERSTAND THAT THE REFUGEE IS NOT THE CONSEQUENCE OF THEIR INFERIORITY, BUT THE CONSEQUENCE OF THE PLAN OF THEIR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND OR SOUL. Their soul plan implies that their soul wants to EXPERIENCE THE ULTIMATE EXTREMES OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE THROUGH THEM. The extremes of human experience involve the SUDDEN OR GRADUAL TERMINATION OF THEIR LIFE in their original environment and the CONTINUATION OF THEIR LIFE in an environment where living conditions are COMPLETELY OR PARTIALLY DIFFERENT than in their native country, nation, religion, etc. This EDUCATION OF REFUGEES will ensure that THEY DO NOT LOSE SELF-CONFIDENCE OR GET IT BACK IF THEY HAVE LOST IT. This can happen ONLY IF THEY ARE NOT CONSIDERED LESS VALUABLE than those in the environment they came to. In the long term, refugees and/or their children, through such education, will become FREE OF THEIR TRAUMA, so in the future they will be able to educate BOTH REFUGEES AND THOSE WHO ARE NOT REFUGEES. #refugees #education #equilibrium #jasnicaklaramatic

To the list above add: ● Language barriers hindering access to information. ● Reduced financial means due to displacement. ● Lack of awareness regarding available scholarships. ● A patchwork of informal, online, international, and national education opportunities. ● Unfamiliar application processes. ● Refugee status limiting educational options. And more.. But that is where Mosaik steps in to help guide refugees toward potential opportunities. We understand the obstacles, and we are here for you. Today, on #WorldRefugeeDay, we're shining a light on the rights of refugees to receive a quality, inclusive post-primary education. Our research with over 1,126 refugee youth has found that: 💪 Post-primary education has a positive impact on refugees' ability to build knowledge, skills, agency, social capital, confidence and to contribute to refugee and host communities. 🛑 Systemic factors including prohibitive fees and administrative hurdles significantly limit refugees’ progression to higher levels of education. 🎓 Higher education in particular enhances the agency of refugee youth, increasing their ability to determine their own circumstances.
