Everywhere you will look, you will find electrical energy being at the heart of solving a problem or improving lives. Now is the time to embark on your career in electrical engineering.
I help engineers develop into leadership roles. Engineering career coach and mentor. Director of Engineering. Artist and writer.
Electrical engineers will rise to the top of jobs over the next 10 to 15 years because of the massive, unprecedented ramp up in energy construction projects. A lot of countries are racing towards net zero. This means many more renewable projects. 8 million clean energy jobs will that will be added worldwide by 2030. A lot of countries pushing to produce more Electric vehicles, making them more affordable. Needing more electricity and charging infrastructure. Again more and more electrical engineering projects. Bonus: Electrical grids everywhere are now mostly decades old and need replacement. -->More and more substation projects to expand and refurbish the grids. Everywhere you will look, you will find electrical energy being at the heart of solving a problem or improving lives. Now is the time to embark on your career in electrical engineering.

Demand for engineers is expected to increase further in the coming years. The competition to attract high skilled engineers is already underway. Companies that fail to invest in their staff will become poaching grounds for companies who are willing to invest in the future and pay attractive and fair salaries. The ones that fail to invest in their staff will be left behind, they will feel the effects on recruitment, production, plant downtime, team morale and burn out their existing employees, who will no doubt seek opportunities with more attractive companies offering a more prosperous career.
