The first-ever Canadian eVTOL Insights industry conference in Montréal wrapped up just over two weeks ago! Here are some of our highlights from the event: Our Executive Director, JR (张翰) Hammond shared the stage with Thomas Bombaert, MSc MRAeS of International Civil Aviation Organization and Hamid Hamidi of Limosa Inc. to share progress on accelerating AAM efforts within the country - with Limosa currently developing its LimoConnect aircraft, Hamid touched upon why Montréal is such a good hub for the company, while JR pointed to what the governments are doing and how they are instrumental in moving this industry forward. Thomas then added additional focus from ICAO and the standards towards global harmonization. Another highlight was the discussions from the panel of "Certification and Regulation" moderated by Phil Cole of Cert Center Canada, featuring Katherine Ayre of CAYRES Inc, Adil Chaudhry of Transport Canada and Chris Baczynski MASc PEng FRAeS of BAC Aerospace. Lastly, Brandon Robinson of Horizon Aircraft delivered a powerful keynote on operational considerations for eVTOL aircraft, highlighting the company’s X7 Cavorite aircraft which is currently undergoing flight testing.
