Who's coming to Austin for SXSW 2024?! 🤠 I'll be judging at the Space and Defense Innovation Showcase March 9th, then checking out the SXSW Pitch finalists on stage on both March 9th and 10th, and catching up with friends at the Midwest House along the way. 👋 I'm around to catch up March 9-11th 🗣 Who is on panels that I can support? (share links below) 🌮 Do you need any local recs? 😎 My unsolicited advice: Have fun, go with the flow (it's beautiful, multidisciplinary, convergent-tech chaos), wear comfortable shoes, and bring external batteries to stay charged. In my experience, the most interesting panels are the ones in new/emerging/different industries from your own. Cast a wide net. Wander. Be curious. It's a friendly, playful vibe. Even as an introvert, I find this event energizing. And of course, let me know if I can help!

AgTech Friends (in the Bay Area or visiting!) - see below for an in person get together that Sachi Desai, Rhishi P. and I are co-hosting in a couple of weeks. We are excited to get everyone together live so we can catch up in person and share what's going on with everyone and with AgTech. We have a lot of fun talking about the space and thought getting a bigger group together once in a while would be even more fun - especially based on occasions where we get to do so like World Agri-Tech and World Ag Expo. I think Sachi may have been taking some Founder Mode (All In podcast joke for those that missed last episode) - this won't quite make it to 2000s really dope rave status (not that I would know - I had either 4 or 5 kids in the 2000s ...) I think of it more as How I Met Your Mother meets Big Bang Theory over dinner, where AgTech geeks get to be the cool kids for a night! For those old enough to remember MUGs (Macintosh User Groups), that's the vibe I think we're going for but our Fat Mac (256k - who could need more?) has been replaced by autonomous tractors and super cool gene editing tools! If you're too young to remember MUGs, Google will handle your questions (they were awesome) - just come and have fun! Having reached my exclamation point quota, I will sign off ...
