Expand the Pie: A Key to Achieving Mediation Success Another key insight from the Harvard Mediation Intensive is the power of "expanding the pie" 🥧in negotiation. By understanding and getting to the *underlying* interests of all parties and exploring creative solutions, we can achieve better outcomes and value for everyone involved.🤝 In some cases, when two parties have found little or nothing to trade, one innovative strategy is to invite additional parties to the negotiation. While this may add complexity, it can also lead to creative solutions and enlarge the pie.
