➡️ #Networking isn’t limited to formal events or the office watercooler; it can happen anywhere. On the train, in the gym, or that museum exhibit you loved. Every interaction is a chance to build genuine connections and expand your network. Have you made a new connection recently? How did it go?
I would say the most effective networking isnt done at professional events but in natural organic situations. Be a kind, excited about your work and charming kind of person and people will WANT to give you opportunities... I know it sounds crazy but 🤷🏾♀️
Networking isn’t just about exchanging business cards at conferences. It's a subtle art, often overlooked, that can significantly impact your career trajectory. Every interaction, every conversation, every connection holds the potential to open doors and unlock opportunities. From casual chats at coffee shops to online forums, every platform can be a networking ground. Don't underestimate the power of genuine connections, even if they seem insignificant at first. You never know who might be your next mentor, collaborator, or client. Networking is a two-way street. Offer value, be authentic, and stay connected. Build relationships, not just contacts. Actively engaging with people, you're not just networking; you're investing in your future success.
With every experience, good or bad, your story becomes richer, and amidst all those moments, you can be networking. 🤝
I’ve literally connected with people in a train, at the gym and even at the deli counter.
Yup, spoke to someone who sat beside me during a wedding ceremony !
@LinkedIn I can do networking ads for guys, in S.A lingo.
🚊 LinkedIn, Funny enough, my last networking win happened in the cereal aisle! It turns out that nothing brings people together like a shared love for Frosted Flakes. 😂 You never know where you'll find a great connection—sometimes, it's right between the milk and the granola! Networking opportunities are everywhere!
Absolutely agree! It’s fascinating how everyday moments can turn into meaningful connections. I recently struck up a conversation at a coffee shop that led to an exciting collaboration. How about you?
Hi I was just charged R749.00 and the reference is LinkedIn Job seeking platform something I did not subscribe to! I am very disappointed with this situation and would like to request a refund. According to the reference, this charge is for a premium job-finding subscription. It seems counterintuitive to charge a high fee to individuals seeking employment, especially without clear prior notice. While I am not actively looking for employment, my understanding is that this deduction is intended for job seekers. Charging such a significant amount to those who may be unemployed and simply trying to market themselves on your platform raises concerns. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. I have lodged a formal complaint aswell and trust that I will be assisted as soon as possible because this is a lot of money to pay for something I have not subscribed for.

3moHow I Network Anytime, Anywhere: Networking isn’t just for conferences or LinkedIn. It’s about seizing every interaction, every day. Whether you’re grabbing coffee or waiting in line, you can build meaningful connections anywhere. Here’s what I do: - Be present: Put away your phone, stay open. - Engage first: A simple “Hey, what’s your story?” works wonders. - Be genuinely curious: Listen more than you speak. - Find common ground: Work, hobbies, or even mutual acquaintances. - Follow up: Drop a quick “Great chatting with you!” afterward. Networking isn’t an event, it’s a mindset shift. Do this consistently and create a web of connections without formalities. How do you make networking part of your everyday life?
