With our extensive knowledge and expertise across various industries, PwC Belgium is able to provide the media a broad range of valuable insights, analyses, and thought leadership. 📺 This annual Entertainment & Media Outlook is one such example, offering invaluable economic data on the entertainment and media sector. ➡ Last year, we highlighted the Belgian festival scene; this year, our focus shifts to the gaming sector in collaboration with the strong gaming education division at Howest - Digital Arts and Entertainment and director Dries Deryckere. 🎮 Despite the talent (think of Baldur's Gate by Larian Studios, led by Swen Vincke), realizing the potential remains challenging, and growth in 2023 has been limited. The entrepreneurial climate is not attractive enough for gaming companies to establish themselves here. Hopefully, we will see a shift thanks to government efforts such as the Flanders Game Hub.
