Just launched! The 2024 Development Co-operation Report addresses multiple crises of poverty, inequality and climate, and the challenges all women and girls face as well, as they are most affected by poverty. We know all too well that the global crises of climate and insecurity have a greater impact on outcomes for all women and girls. In spite of this, the share of bilateral allocable ODA with gender equality objectives dropped 👇🏻to 43% in 2021-22 – after a decade on the rise! We must reverse this trend! Making the goal of achieving gender equality a priority leads to positive change and growth in all sectors. Financing across ODA activities will not only help reduce poverty and inequality, but also can also accelerate development. In a dynamic Roundtable, Ministers from Brazil to Norway, repeated that the gender equality the factor is vital for economic growth! Congratulations to Ida Mc Donnell and team for sounding the alarm that gender inequality specifically is rising, and need to be addressed as we tackle overall poverty levels. #gendernet Jenny Hedman Astrid Lucia Offersen Cibele Cesca Sasha Milanova
